Why we work for Social Justice

Working for Social Justice – a key cornerstone of our work SVP is committed to identifying the root cause of poverty and social exclusion in Ireland and, in solidarity with people experiencing poverty and disadvantage, to advocate and work for the changes required to create a more just and caring society. The National Social Justice Committee exists to: -

romote the social justice mission of p the Society among the membership

roactively seek out information and p detail about the issues and trends that members are experiencing in their Visitation/other work

evelop proposed solutions and d advocate for policy -

c hange to achieve positive outcomes in the lives of those that SVP assists

i nput into strategic work for the Social Justice team

s upport the North Region Social Justice Committee and work to address social inequality on an allIsland basis
