P

welcome to swagrr magazine The new community publication specifically for the cities: Sachse, Wylie, and Garland, Rowlett, Richardson! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@SwagTheMag) and visit us online: www.SwagTheMag.com. I'm Candace Brown, the editor of SWAGRR Magazine. If your family is like mine, you probably spend alot of your time (and your money) throughout the Sachse, Wylie, Garland, Rowlett, and Richardson area. For example: I have lived in Garland nearly 20 years. My family does our grocery shopping at our favorite Kroger on Hwy 78 in Sachse. We eat at the Jimmy John's on Beltline in Richardson so often that they may eventually name a sandwich after us (fingers crossed)! On hot Texas afternoons, its easy to find us cooling off at Lake Lavon in Wylie. When live sporting events are on television, Nick's Sports Grill in Rowlett is the perfect spot for hot wings and cold drinks!

to add interactivity by taking readers from the pages inside the magazine to related content outside of it. You might know them as QR codes, but we call them SWAGcodes! With SWAGcodes, readers are able to use their smartphone or tablet to do the following: Listen to mp3s from the musicians profiled in our ‘Local Artist Spotlight’. Watch videos of select trailers in our ‘At The Movies’ section. Save with 'readers-only' special offers from our advertisers. Read digital issues online.

For us, SWAGRR is not a collection of individual cities. Instead, it is one community, that meets all of our shopping, dining, and entertainment needs. An area as special as this deserves a publication as special as this one.

Be part of the SWAGRR-sation!

Throughout the magazine, you will see how we incorporate the latest in mobile technology

ABLC does your tv only show the commercials? Of course not. That would be silly... But when you advertise in 'ads-only' publications like Valpak or AdPages, it is no different than running your ad on a TV channel that only broadcasts commercials. With SWAGRR, our ads-to-content ratio helps ensure that your ad is surrounded by attention capturing content...not multiple competing ads.

why magazine advertising? How content makes a difference. The content that surrounds your advertisement is just as important as the ad itself. Appealing content multiplies the value of your marketing by capturing and retaining the attention of the audience. This is why our magazine's staff work to provide relevant and interesting articles each month. ■ Magazines provide reach – faster than you think: The average magazine reaches almost 2/3rds of its audience within one month’s time. ■ Magazines target efficiently: Advertisers can hone in on the targets that fit their needs. ■ Magazines sell: Multiple studies show allocating more money to magazines in the media mix improves marketing and advertising ROI across a broad range of categories. ■ Magazines provide rich experiences: Readers experience magazines in meaningful ways, including: "I get value for my time and money", "It makes me smarter", It’s my personal time out" and "I often reflect on it". ■ Magazines engage: 90% of magazine readers pay full and complete attention when reading magazines vs levels of multitasking when compared with other media. ■ Magazines enhance advertising impact: Strong consumer experiences with magazines boost magazine advertising impact.

■ Magazine ads last: Consumers refer to magazines multiple times – even saving them, giving advertisers the opportunity for added exposures. ■ Magazines supply credibility: Consumers trust and believe magazine advertising more than advertising in other media. ■ Magazines offer choice: Advertisers can choose from a wide range of titles, environments and “customizable” solutions that best suit advertisers’ needs. ■ Magazine creative connects: Magazine ad content makes consumers laugh, cry, think, desire, ponder, smile, and more. In short, magazine ads make people react – and connect with advertisers’ brands. circulation and distribution By using three different methods of distribution, SWAGRR Magazine works to make sure that your ad is seen by your target audience. Public Place Distribution (PPD) - High Traffic Locations

Statistically, 1 issue distributed publicly is likely to garner an average of 3.85 unique views. 5000 PPD copies have the potential to reach 19250 readers! 1/3 of the total issues printed are distributed locally in high traffic, public locations. These are places with waiting areas, such as: barber and beauty shops, business reception areas, bank lobbies, dine-in restaurants, fitness centers, doctors and dental offices, plus more.

Direct Mail Distribution (DMD) - Preferred Mailing Areas

2/3 of circulation is mailed directly to addresses of your choice. The mailing area is determined by the advertisement size purchased. Your magazine ads are also a direct mail program! For no additional charge, a specified number of magazines will be mailed directly to homes in an area that you specify. Select your mailing list by zip code or by mile radius around your business. We provide the list and the postage! Direct Mail Distribution helps ensure that your ad is seen by your target audience!

Digital Magazine - Computers and Digital Devices

Issues are also available in digital format to be read online using computers, smartphones and/or tablets (Kindle and Nook compatible). Our magazine is also published in a format to be read from computers, smartphones, and/or tablets. With easy-to-use features such as pageflipping and zoom/search ability, digital issues help replicate the printed magazine experience. In the digital version, when a reader clicks on your ad, interactive links can take them directly to your website, a special offer, your social media page or other online content.
