Musical Movie Night

If you miss the excitement of live music but aren’t able to attend concerts like you used to, not to worry - Musical Movie Night will bring the concert straight to you! Resident Ron Leeuwenburg is hosting complimentary movie nights once a month to share his passion for live music and performance, “I’ve always loved music as it’s good for the soul.”

After watching many concert movies over the years, Ron is keen to share his diverse collection with fellow residents. “The idea came from my previous village where we ran Musical Movie Nights for a long time and they were very well received,” Ron explained, “The aim is not so much to show music films such as ‘Sound Of Music’, but rather live concerts and performances. We believe residents will really enjoy it.”

Debuting on the February of 5th, residents can sit back and relax as they enjoy one of Ron’s favourite artists, Belgium singer and World Music Award winner Helmut Lotti performing The Crooners. This entertaining concert features special guest performers and a talented live band Ron says you won’t want to miss!

Using the large TV screen in The Club with a sound bar and woofer, the movie will be shown with high quality visuals and audio. Residents are asked to bring their own nibbles and drinks to enjoy throughout the show with the coffee machine also available for use. “We look forward to seeing you there!” Says Ron.

Pottery Group

The Pottery Group is back up and running, but due to various members being unwell we have only just had our Christmas Luncheon, which we all enjoyed.

This year we are hoping to have an open house, where you can see the potters at work and also buy something that catches your eye.

We have just had three lovely fellows join us and unfortunately, we cannot take new members at this time. However please let us know if you’re interested, and we will contact you as soon as a space becomes available.

Should you want a piece of pottery you did not buy, providing it is still there, you can contact me to arrange collection. If you are willing to wait 6-8 weeks for a specific item, we can take orders for that special present.
