Editor’s Letter
November 2024
Lucy Morris Editor-in-chief Welcome to Perfect Pets Magazine, the November issue, and welcome to the heart of autumn! We’re delighted to have you join us as we explore the joys of pets this month. As November settles in, the autumn season reaches its peak, bringing a new set of experiences and considerations for pet owners. The chilly air and colourful landscape offer unique opportunities for indoor cosiness and outdoor adventures with our furry friends. For dogs, November’s cooler temperatures are ideal for brisk walks and playful romps in fallen leaves. The crisp air invigorates them, making it a perfect time for fetch games in the park. However, be mindful of the earlier sunsets and consider reflective gear for evening walks. Also, watch out for leftover Halloween candy, which can be harmful to pets. Cat owners might notice their feline companions seeking out warm, snuggly spots as the days grow shorter. Create inviting nooks with soft blankets near heat sources or sunny windows. Indoor cats may appreciate new interactive toys or puzzle feeders to keep them mentally stimulated during increased indoor time. November is an excellent time to reassess your pet’s nutrition. With the colder weather, some pets may need a slight increase in calories to maintain their body temperature. Consult your veterinarian about adjusting your pet’s diet if necessary. Seasonal vegetables like sweet potatoes or carrots (in moderation) can be a healthy addition to many pets’ diets, providing vitamins and fibre. For small pets like rabbits or guinea pigs, it’s crucial to ensure their living spaces are draft-free and well-insulated. If you have outdoor hutches, consider moving them to a sheltered area or bringing your small pets indoors. Provide extra bedding for burrowing and warmth. Grooming becomes even more important in November as many pets develop thicker winter coats. Regular brushing helps prevent matting and reduces shedding. It’s also a great opportunity to bond with your pet and check for any skin issues that might arise with the drier air. By embracing the cosy aspects of November and addressing its unique challenges, we can ensure our pets remain happy, healthy, and comfortable as we transition into the winter season. Next month, join us as we explore how to keep our furry friends merry and bright during the festive December days. See you then!

Games Poodle vs Labrador Dogs are our closest friends, the only loyal creatures who will not betray or deceive. They are completely dependent on their owners, so people sometimes tend to give dogs human character traits. Here are the photos of dogs playing games. Look how they do it, with what expression, demands or indignation. «Why was I checkmated?» «It’s so good that I have the right card!» Here is the intellectual poodle looks arrogantly at the hard-working labrador who loves dog beer. The poodle won because there is a block in domino. It’s called «fish» so there’s a real fish lying next to the beer. Many dog handlers say that dogs cannot be humanized, because they live according to their instincts. Firstly - discipline and obedience, and secondly any treats. But many owners believe the opposite: their dogs first of all need love. Anyway, dogs are amazing animals, and a little humanizing photographs certainly won’t hurt them. These two friends - a 7-year-old poodle and a 3-year-old labrador have been living in the same house for a long time. They want to steal something tasty from the table together, they misbehave together when the owners leave the house, they run together on walks. But the labrador needs constant love and attention to be stroked more, while the other, the poodle, just needs to lay on the sofa at the feet of his owners.
