Starring Daragh O’Malley (best known as Sgt. Harper in the Sharpe series). Summer 1936. In a cottage in the remote Irish village of Ballybeg, the five Mundy sisters live a simple life in the shadow of the hills of Donegal, with their recently returned brother Jack, a missionary priest, seven-year-old Michael, and a wireless set called ‘Marconi’. Years later, the grown up Michael looks back at that fateful summer when the knockings of change finally caught up with the Mundy family. The play paints a vivid and life-affirming portrait of these brave women following their loss of love and opportunity, played out against the echoes of the twentieth century with a dark humour, raw energy and tenderness.

From Russia’s Ural mountains, The Big Ballet formed in 1994 and set out to deliberately and, above all, self-confidently challenge accepted social standards in a world where the pursuit of slenderness and beauty seems obsessive. The dancers courageously and imposingly prove that grace, elegance, charisma and nimbleness are not the demesne of the “thin”, proudly presenting their voluptuous yet surprisingly sinuous and flexible figures. These ladies enchant their audiences with different classical and modern ballet pieces in a hilarious comedy show full of fun and astonishing choreography.

Swansea City Opera make a welcome return with a production of Rossini’s ever-popular and most famous comic opera, The Barber of Seville. SCO are known for their sparkling performances of comic opera and the Barber will be no exception. Set in Seville in the late eighteenth century, a young Spanish nobleman, Count Almaviva, is in love with the beautiful and rich Rosina, ward of the lecherous Doctor Bartolo, who plans his own marriage to her. Along comes the meddling Figaro, the town barber, and suddenly we have all the ingredients for confusion and mayhem... but will there be a happy ending? Beautifully staged in English with charming traditional eighteenth-century costume and performed by some of the finest singers and orchestral players in the country.

Spanish Lies By Frank Vickery Following the massive success of Frank’s brand new black comedy Barkin’, he’s back with another comedy classic.

Thriller Live! Celebrating the Undisputed King of Pop Direct from London’s West End, Thriller - Live is a spectacular concert created to celebrate the career of the world’s greatest entertainer. Moonwalking its way around the world, Thriller - Live brings to life the sensational dancing and distinctive sound of Michael and the Jackson 5. With eye-popping multi-media effects and dazzling choreography by the shows award-winning director Gary Lloyd, Thriller - Live marks the first Jacksons dedicated live theatrical experience ever! “A glitzy concert of song and dance. The hits just keep on coming.” Daily Telegraph

What better way for Dougie and Lorna to celebrate 25 years of wedded (sort-of ) bliss than to return to the Majorcan hotel where they honeymooned as excited newlyweds. But it’s more heartbreak hotel than happy holidays for the couple, who find the rain in Spain isn’t the only thing to put a dampener on things. Dougie had been hoping to put the spark back in their flagging relationship but wasn’t expecting the fireworks that the holiday brings! This is classic Frank Vickery farce, packed with laugh-outloud slapstick and one-liners.
