ETP Plants: purifying polluted and waste water with effect

As we all are aware, one of the rising global issues on this date is the pollution and depletion of natural resources. Apart from breathable air, the most important natural resource which is crucial for our survival is water and the degree of water pollution is reaching such heights with passing time that we can no longer say we have an everlasting supply of that resource. Even though 3/4th of the planet account for water (either in melted or frozen form), man has somehow managed to cause enough water pollution to raise the alarm. The problem with our planet is that the population of inhabitants is ever increasing while the supply of resources remains constant. This would not have caused a problem had we used our water resources judiciously, but the point is we didn’t and now we are not very far from a major crisis. All water bodies, be it oceans or ponds, suffer from qualitative degradation resulting from irresponsible human activities. At present, there is only one way open for us to make amends for the harm that has been done, and that way includes the use of an ETP plant or Effluent Treatment Plant. What is an ETP Plant? An ETP plant helps in wastewater management by removing varying polluting elements from the affected water and transforming it into the clean, pure and healthy water. Such technology was developed with the very motif of bringing back the quality of water resources, and they can work on municipal and industrial water just as well as on natural water bodies. ETP plants either convert the wastewater into the clean water which is suitable to take part in the water cycle, or it makes the wastewater into the pure water which can be put to safe use. The main sources of water pollution    

Industrial wastes are often thrown into water bodies without any treatment, and this can be rather dangerous, often making the water completely unsuitable for use. Agricultural wastes which comprise of chemical insecticides and pesticides flow into nearby water bodies through the irrigation channels, thereby polluting the water In a country like India, people still use pond or river water for cleaning, washing, bathing themselves and their animals. This too causes significant harm to the water bodies In the case of larger water bodies like seas or oceans, accidental oil spills are a major threat. Also, unwanted garbage dumping is another cause of distress.

An ETP Plant can provide a cost effective solution to all these problems because they can treat Industrial, agricultural, domestic as well as municipal wastes and provide clean water in return. Things to know: Industries can use such plants to cleanse their wastewaters before throwing them into the water bodies. Agricultural sectors, municipal corporations and households can do the same to protect their environment. Any organization willing to get an ETP plant must get in touch with a reputed organization which takes care of the designing, implementation and maintenance of cost effective plants. The utility of ETP plants arises from the fact that they are capable of removing the most persistent pollutant molecules, which other treatment plants fail to work on.
