DIFFERENCE- ONE WORD Swaroop Suman
Difference, the one word, And rest all absurd, Feeling of sadness within, And joy on the upper skin, Bewildered here I stand, For the future remains unplanned, Difference-one word, And the thoughts of flightless bird, Flapping its wings, a try to go far, But the mind knows the truth, The doors are not ajar, Stop I shall say to the unbound happiness, And then my thought I will suppress, For I know change is sought in the realm, A mind block may be, A nerve racking jam, Emotional it may be- the leave, For there is no passage through the sieve, Bold it has to be-the acceptance, The only way, the only chance, Difference-one word, the new sheep and the old herd,
for the shepherd will know the love and the sorrow, some 20 some more than life, a jingle that shall ring for the last time, Tomorrow is imperfect, the true sense, Tinkering it may need at a life’s expense, Hands numb and eyes damp, A farewell bid with a dimming lamp, No ecstasy and no flair, No finesse but a quite glare, Difference-one word, A word that can never go unheard, The man at the steps, Will forget the past, Will realize the truth when he is the last, For the shepherds are gone, And unfamiliarity shall rule, For the love they had within, Shall create craters-a big hole, Difference-one word that shall now always trend, For the ways have come to a dead end.
