Choosing the right course is a huge
decision. Getting it right means that you can look forward to an enjoyable rewarding future career.
If you do not know what you want to study at college you are not unusual! Many people who would like to join a college course are undecided about which subject to study. To help you choose a subject, think about the hobbies you enjoy and the interests you have. Do you enjoy practical activities, or prefer to sit at a desk? Are you creative? Do you like to mix with new people or do you prefer to work alone? Answers to these types of questions can help you with your decision about which subject to study.
a Course The next step..
is for you to visit us and find out if SWC is for you. Come along to an Open Event and a Taster Day (book your Taster Day place online at www.sworcs.ac.uk). These events will give you the opportunity to see the college for yourself, meet some of the tutors or try a course out for half a day.
Once you have decided which course to apply for you can apply online at www.sworcs.ac.uk or telephone (01386) 712600 for an application form. We will then invite you along to college for an interview which is a great opportunity for you to find out more about your chosen course. You will have the chance to ask questions, such as: How many days a week do I come into College? What sort of things will I be doing on the course? How much of the course is practical and how much is based in a classroom?
