Police Department. “I love being in a small community where you know everyone,” Sharp said. Although as an officer she doesn’t always meet the people she serves on good terms and is aware that occasionally she will upset someone, she maintains a

positive attitude. “Not all end with happy endings,” Sharp said. “But once in a while you get one, it’s those moments that make it all worth it.” Sharp has completed training for the National Association of School Resource Officers. Sharp com-

pleted the Finding Words Kansas, a program aimed at helping officer learn the interview skills required when working with children that have been victims and which is important for her work with the area youth. Besides her training in

law enforcement, Sharp holds a Associate’s Degree in business from Barton County Community College. Sharp is active in local 4-H programs and is the County Wide Leader for the dog Project. Sharp also judges 4-H shows throughout Kansas. She enjoys
