Stephenville has so many wonderful services, programs, and special events that we offer including an award winning Parks and Recreation program. All programs offered by the Stephenville Community Services Department emphasizes participation and enjoyment. It is our goal that every citizen has the same opportunity to participate in an activity and to have fun! Another goal of our department is to not leave anyone out. We want to extend an invitation to everyone to participate.

Parks and Facility Reservation
Community Center Family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties, business meetings. The Community Center can handle a variety of events. Daily Rental Fee (8am-10pm): $150 Senior Members: $50 Set-up: $50 Gym Rental Beyond renting the gym for practices and tournaments you can rent the gym for family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties and business meetings. The Rec Hall can handle a variety of events. Profit: $250 Non-Profit: $125
Our Parks and Trails Bosque River Trail
The Bosque River Trail is a walking, hiking and biking trail that runs along the north bank of the Bosque River in Stephenville. The trail is open and wooded and is well lit at night. River views are available along the route. Grass and native plants are along the trail as well as bike storage, benches, lighting, and litter receptacles. Rest stops and mile markers are also available on the trail. The Bosque River trail connects the City Park, Boy Scout area and Historical Museum to the downtown area. Great vantage points along the trail include a space that runs behind the Historical Museum and lookouts with river views.
City Park
The Recreation Hall is located in the front of the City Park. The City Park has the following facilities: Four baseball fields, three softball fields, four multi-
purpose youth fields, four tennis courts, one multi-purpose court, hike and bike trail, Century Park Gazebo, Birdsong Amphitheater, two covered pavillions, swimming pool, RV spaces, three playground areas, fishing dock and the Bosque River Trail begins in the park.
Optimist/Jaycee Park
The Optimist park is located at Harbin Drive and Lingleville Highway. This park includes a walking and bike trail, a covered multi-purpose court, and a playground area.
Stephenville Downtown Plaza
The Stephenville Downtown Plaza is located on Washington Street across from City Hall. The facility features the Cowboy Capital Walk of Fame plaques. Various special events are held at the Downtown Plaza.
Small Pavilion and Century Park Family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties, business meetings. The Small Pavilion can handle a variety of events up to a few hundred guests. Half Day (4 hours): $75 Full Day10 hours): $150 Large Pavilion Family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties, business meetings. The Large Pavilion can handle a variety of events up to 1000 guests. Half Day (4 hours): $150 Full Day10 hours): $300 Birdsong Amphitheater If you have a music or performance event this is the ideal location. This venue is the host of the TexStar Ford concert series during the summer and has accommodated thousands of guests and been the stage for hundreds of performers. Host your performance here. Officials and coaching opportunities We are recruiting and training quality officials and coaches throughout the year. We expect our officials and coaches to uphold the values and rules of our department. Stephenville Disc Golf Course at City Park
Welcome to the newly installed Stephenville Disc Golf Course! The course is an 18-hole course encompassing the City Park and designed for players of all skill levels. All 18 holes include cement tee pads and state-of-the-art Mach X disc golf baskets! Most holes also include multiple tee box locations for more advanced skill level players or those just looking for a challenge. We have installed vivid tee signs to help you navigate your way through the course. Also included is a practice basket next to hole #1. Hole #1 begins at the east side of the parking lot from the main City Park entrance off of Graham ST.
Texas Association of Nippon Kenpo (Kempo) Karate classes are based on a monthly schedule. Karate classes are offered for beginners up to advance classes. Monthly classes are offered year round. Call SPARD for class times and fees (254) 918-1295

The Stephenville Senior Citizens Center is owned and operated by the City of Stephenville. It is a recreational facility that provides socialization and fun- filled activities for the elderly. The center is located at 164 East College Street. Hour of operation are Monday – Thursday from 8a.m. – 5p.m. and Friday from 8a.m. – 12p.m. Membership is free. THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS AREA AGENCY ON AGING IS PROVIDING CONGREGRATE MEALS TO THE CENTER ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS, THROUGH ERATH COUNTY SENIOR INC. SENIORS 60 & OLDER MUST FILL OUT THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK TO QUALIFY FOR THE MEALS. THE MEALS ARE FREE. VOLUNTARY DONATIONS ACCEPTED. IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN ORDERING A MEAL, CALL THE CENTER BEFORE 10A.M. ON MONDAYS AND/OR WEDNESDAYS FOR THE NEXT DAY’S MEALS
Rental Needs: Need a place to host a reunion, birthday party, or wedding reception? The center is available for rental. We charge $150 a day, with a $50 deposit. The facility comes equipped with central heat & air, ice machine, large annex room, fully equipped kitchen, and large parking lot. Tables & chairs are available upon request.
