1. Bring milk, cream, cinnamon & nutmeg to boil in medium saucepan on low heat. 2.Beat egg yolks and sugar in medium bowl until pale yellow in color and fluffy.

3. Gradually add 1 cup of the hot milk mixture, mixing with whisk until well blended. Whisk mixture back into the remaining milk mixture in the saucepan. 4. Cook & stir on medium low heat 3 to 5 minutes. Then pour into a bowl, cover & refrigerate until cool.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar; roll around to coat and shape into balls. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.

Peppermint Cookies
3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 2/3 cups flour 1/8 tsp peppermint extract 1 2/3 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cream of tartar 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup crushed mini candy canes 1/4 cup sugar 1. Heat oven to 350째F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
