My name is Leah Tate. I am 16 and a Junior at Wimberley High School in Texas. I am a member of AQHA, 4H, FFA, SHOT, IEA, CAQHA, NRHA, and TQHA. I show in all around events and participate in horse judging through my local FFA chapter.

ceive an AQHA weanling. Picking him up in Dexter, New Mexico. from Bogle LTD Ranches Hal Bogle Estate’s Four Lakes Ranch was unforgettable. When they brought out my weanling wearing his halter for the first time, yet calm as could be, it was a match made in heaven! He loaded and rode quietly in the trailer all the way home to Wimberly Texas for the 15-hour drive! His name is High Dollar Pistol and we call him Dollar.

Favorite Events: My favorite events to show in are reining, western riding, horsemanship, and trail.

Future plans with horses? I would love to be a part of a collegiate equestrian team. I plan to work with my trainer and show my horse GeeWhiz Im Peppy in reining, ranch riding and trail. I also plan to start my young horse Dollar in April and compete in the State 4-H Horse Show 2 Year Old Futurity next summer. This year I am taking a Veterinary Medicine course.
