His award-winning first feature CHRIEG (2014) was selected for numerous international festivals such as San Sebastian, Sao Paulo and Karlovy Vary. His second feature film THE INNOCENT (2018) premiered at TIFF. It became a festival hit and won the Swiss Film Award for Best Actress 2019.

In her work she focuses on uncomfortable topics that are socially taboo. Her first feature SILVER FOREST (2011) received eight awards, including the Max Ophüls Prize for Best Directing. Her last feature VACUUM (2017) premiered in competition at Tallinn Black Nights, winning the Jury Prize for Best Actress.
