THE AK LEGACY FOUNDATION was formed by Candy Martin in December 2018 to help others achieve a better quality of life. The foundation’s functions are disaster recovery relief, financial literacy education and professional development. Because of her professional knowledge and commitment to the community, Candy has been recognized as The Northshore’s Best Financial Advisor in East St. Tammany. A foundation highlight is their AKLF Women-N-Business Annual Conference and Awards Gala, held this year in Slidell from October 14-16. Friday and Saturday events are open to both women and men and include an Interactive business conference with hands-on learning experience yielding tangible results, a relationship building networking reception, and an awards gala dinner showcasing the work of the foundation and recognizing community leaders who exemplify excellence and service to others.
