2 bottles hard pear cider (22-ounce bottles) Zest of ½ medium orange, removed in large strips 2-inch piece of ginger, sliced into ¼-inch pieces ½ cup brandy ½ cup honey Lemon slices for garnish Cinnamon stick for garnish
32 ounces tomato juice 1 lemon, juiced 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 lime, finely sliced 5 ounces vodka ¼ teaspoon celery salt 1-2 teapsoons Tabasco, to taste
Mix the cider, orange zest and ginger in a large pot. Bring to a simmer over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 20 minutes. Stir in the brandy and honey. Pour into heatproof mugs and garnish with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick. Serves 4.
Add the tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and a few slices of lime to the pan. Season with a little salt and pepper. Slowly bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes then stir in the vodka, celery salt and Tabasco. Garnish with a celery stick and the remaining lime slices. Serves 4.

3 ounces eggnog 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks 1 ½ ounces coconut rum ½ ounce dark rum Cinnamon sticks Nutmeg
1 ½ ounces Irish whiskey ½ ounce Swedish Punsch liqueur 1 Tablespoon cinnamon syrup Hot brewed coffee Whipped cream Chai masala powder
Add eggnog, pineapple chunks and coconut rum to a blender with a few ice cubes and whip until frothy. Pour rum into a glass mug and add eggnog mixture. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a pineapple wedge, then sprinkle with nutmeg.
Combine whiskey, Swedish Punsch liqueur and cinnamon syrup in a glass and stir. Slowly pour in hot coffee. Top with fresh whipped cream. Dust with chai masala powder. January 2024 | Sophisticated Woman 17
