The Abita Springs International Film Festival (ASIFF) will provide the rare opportunity to experience local, national and international films in one setting. The films will be shown along with a celebrity panel, theatrical performances, and musical entertainment at the three day event. ASIFF’s board of film professionals, three of which are women, are excited about the inaugural festival.
Fiona McQuinn is a writer/director, actress, and teacher. She trained at Arvold Warner Studio, The Working Actors Studio, and the NYU Tisch Filmmakers Program. Fiona is the President of Tri-Legacy Films, a production company she formed with business partners Michael Anglin and Paul Tuger.
Jessica Montalvo is a film scholar and art educator for the St. Tammany Parish School District. In the past fifteen years she has directed many award winning short films. One of her favorite awards was for her documentary “The Gift: A Brief History of Stop Motion.”
Evette Randolph is an actress who has performed in films, commercials, and TV shows that includes AMC’s Mayfair Witches. She has written and directed two short films and six local commercials. Evette is a successful event coordinator and part owner of The Magnolia Supper Club.
Not to be outdone by the women, Bob Krieger is an award winning filmmaker and editor. He is also a teacher and Technology Director at Christ Episcopal. Sheridan Philippe is an award winning film director. His films have been official selections in nearly sixty film festivals across the world.
ASIFF premieres at the Abita Springs Town Hall on January 12-14, 2024. The festival includes films, cocktail receptions, and ends Sunday with an awards ceremony. For information and tickets, go to abitaspringsinternationalfilmfestival.org
