DESIGNER’S PROFILE T-Squared is a multi-disciplinary interior architecture and design practice providing complete range of services to high-end residential & hospitality sector, including architectural interior design, interior decoration, and bespoke furniture, landscape architecture and art consultancy. We have a deep understanding of the profound impact that our surroundings have on our emotions and a sense of wellbeing. Our mission is to create visionary, uplifting and highly individualistic spaces that exude sense of luxury and comfort with a decidedly feel good factor. Founded in 2006 T-Squared’s ethos is driven by pursuit of perfection and achieving luxury and quality regardless of the budget involved. Our dedication to quality means that we manage projects from design concept to completion, overseeing every aspect of the process in-house. Over several years we have built a strong network of relationships with some of the best master craftsmen and manufacturers from around the world and thus we are now able to bring even the most challenging designs to life, inside and out.

Having juggled a career in Project Management in Investment Banking with property development for many years, Tamara finally gave in to her passion for interiors and in 2008 left the City for good. After studying Interior and Spatial design at the Chelsea College of Art, she went on to work for a noted designer, Elaine Williams of Interior Couture, after which she set up her own practice in West London. Tamara has a diverse portfolio of high-end residential and hospitality projects stretching from UK to Asia under her belt. In her work Tamara draws a lot of inspiration from fashion, movies, and travels mixing new and old, sleek and opulent to a dramatic yet somehow chilled out effect. Her designs tend to be quite bold, daring and eclectic, yet interiors she creates evoke elegance, luxury and comfort.

THE DEPOT BRASSERIE – BARNES RIVERSIDE SW14

We were given only few days to design, 3 weeks and a budget of £18,000 to breathe a new life to this Barnes institution 30 years in the making. Using industrial lighting upcycled furniture and bold accent colours we made sure the place is heaving with diners all year long.

The piece de resistance is a newly created chandelier from an old rowing boat skeleton, some sailing rope and a whole lot of filament bulbs draped over it

We have created a defined bar in this formerly non-descript space working with the existing furniture, adding smart touches like a vintage mirror lining above the long bar and new upholstery fabrics with bold colours

The restaurant is split into 3 rooms. This room is at the furthest point away from the entrance with the conservatory running the entire length. New low level lighting has created a warm atmosphere perfect for evening dining and functions

A FRESH MODERN MULTI-FUNCTION FAMILY ROOM – SW11

The cluttered and dingy 25m2 room has been given a major makeover with the fresh take on the traditional kitchen style with graphic floors, industrial style lighting and flexi sofa

A FRESH MODERN MULTI-FUNCTION FAMILY ROOM – SW11

The owners want to entertain up to 8 people, so we created an island design that allows for turning the table around and the lights can be re-positioned using long decorative fabric cables The new kitchen provides more storage, better space flow. This is a fully multi-purpose room where the whole family cooks, dines, entertains and watches TV – all on 25m2. The island and long cabinets are designed to blend in the awkward steel structure that otherwise obstructed the space in the old kitchen

The room with the wide sliding door looks out onto a landscape patio. Conran herringbone white media unit on the grey feature wall reflects the marble mosaic on splashbacks.

A QUIRKY & COLOURFUL ARTIST’S RESIDENCE – HOLLAND PARK W11

This palatial apartment in Holland Park is brimming with period features. We accentuated the old and brought in the new by mixing oversized cushy sofas with bold art and antiques to reflect the vibrant personality of the resident. Chris Bracey’s huge neon lips add 70s vibe to this already eclectic mix of vintage, bespoke and modern elements.

MOODY BLUES SW11 – FROM CONCEPT…

P R O J E C T B R I E F What started as a request to create a living room inspired by one of my earlier designs my client saw in a magazine, spanned into a multi-stage fully fledged interior design project, involving spatial reconfiguration and interior design of the ground floor and master suite, conversion of a basement into a luxury family spa and children's play zone as well as Landscape design and an outdoor spa. The house was a blank canvas and the only starting point was client’s painting of a rugged Irish coast, which inspired the stormy colour palette in rich textures mimicking natural stones and minerals with a dash of midcentury brass

MOODY BLUES SW11 – FROM CONCEPT‌ Original kitchen entrance

New kitchen entrance through pocket walnut door

The transformation of the house started from repositioning the kitchen entrance to the centre of the wall thus improving the flow of space and letting the light in to the living room

‌TO COMPLETION – SW11

Living room is a tidal wave of soft colours, rich textures and organic shapes blended into a relaxing space with a mid-century feel, inspired by this dramatic scene of the Irish coast. We have moved the kitchen entrance from far right of the house to the centre. This has greatly improved the flow of space and brought in the light from the south facing kitchen to the living room.

LIVING ROOM – BESPOKE FURNITURE – SW11

Smoky glass, Lucite, brass and elliptical shapes like this Bauhaus inspired coffee table, hand blown glass lamps and pebble brass edged walnut shelves all emanate mid-century spirit

URBAN OPULENCE – FAMILY HOME W4

This Victorian semi in the heart of Chiswick went through a major modernisation and extension. Owners asked us to add some glamour and luxury to the entrance and living areas. Taking inspiration from 70s Vogue photoshoot in Marrakech and the set of Dreamgirls, we created a luxury boho lounge featuring our own design bespoke furniture in rich mix of shapes and textures, from metallic brocades in floral and geometric patterns, to sumptuous velvets and intricate veneers. Ultra comfortable, inviting, yet uncluttered - ultimate in home entertaining. BUDGET: ÂŁ 50K

PRIMARY COLOURS – A BRIGHT BASEMENT HAVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF FITZROVIA

BRIEF: This basement flat on the SoHo / Fitzrovia borders was just like every developer's apartment. Neutral and characterless. We were asked to create a homely yet bold and graphic decorative scheme that would anchor our client’s growing art collection whilst reflecting our client's international lifestyle and her fascination with ancient China and Japan. This tiny office features a bespoke Mondrian – inspired library storage and even a pull-out desk with a printer drawer

PRIMARY COLOURS – A BRIGHT BASEMENT HAVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF FITZROVIA

The living room acts as an entertainment space for this vibrant young owner, who wanted her home to have a feel of a wacky members club in New York’s SoHo with bespoke NYC newspaper wallpaper, Cowhide tiled LED & steel bar and a cushy red velvet sofa with matching ottoman / coffee table and vintage lighting.
