This bridge below the Pool of London is still a magnificent bridge with the ability to raise the bascules to allow vessels through. Sir John Wolfe Barry’s ingenuity as the architectural engineer is still a masterpiece to this day The engineering of this bridge is excellent and very interesting to discover how much work was required to build and operate this structure This bridge always looks pretty cool and my colleague knew so many random facts about it. I only seen it rise ones but it was pretty cool to see. I was amazed when we bought tickets to go into the Tower Bridge Towers and the lady told us the visit in thr small museum is included. The museum is really well done. A simulation shows how the bridge used to work, and then you can see step by step what people have to do to open it. It was great, I learnt how many people were involved to build it, how many tones of coal they used or how many people cross the bridge nowadays. Then we went up to explore towers and we saw a few short interesting videos. Stunning views and helpful staff. Can recommend to everyone. If you are in London and you don’t visit the Tower Bridge then you have not seen London This lovely old land mark is a master piece of engineering and it was just great to walk both over and under it. We did not do the internal tour which was 9.00 Pounds We took a lot of photos in the area and always seem to get the bridge in the background. Hey, we all remember the nursery rhyme. Walk to it just to say you were there. I liked the bridge for the nostalgia and getting to the other side of the river it saves time.
