The Train Happy Journal

30 DAYS TO KICK START YOUR INTUITIVE MOVEMENT JOURNEY

Tally Rye

“Tally Rye is the kind of woman that makes you want to throw on your gym kit and get fit.” Daily Telegraph

Personal trainer and broadcaster Tally Rye is one of the key figures in the global intuitive fitness movement. In her first book, Train Happy, she encouraged us to change the way we think about exercise, teaching us to approach movement with a mindset of self-care rather than self-punishment and, in doing so, to rediscover the joy in eating and moving more mindfully.

This companion book builds upon the core principles of intuitive movement, from self-care, body acceptance, and body positivity, to intuitive eating, with interactive exercises and journal prompts to help us reflect upon our relationship with fitness, think about how it has been influenced by diet culture and, ultimately, make us feel good about moving our bodies. Colorful illustrations and expert advice accompany inspiring quotes and testimonies from a cross section of representational voices.

Tally Rye is an author, podcaster and personal trainer working one-to-one with clients in central London and at DigMe Fitness clubs. She co-founded the Girl Gains empowerment group with Zanna van Dijk and Victoria Spence to help educate, empower and inspire women to feel good about themselves inside and out. Together, they are also hosts of the BBC 5 Live podcast Fit and Fearless.
