STEFANOS ZAOUSIS
Stefanos Zaousis is a true child of style. From a young age he learned what is regarded fashion and a good aesthetic, since his grandmother was consistently one of the ten best dressed women in Athens and his mother one of the ten most beautiful. Thus he came into the world of fashion and sought his fortune first as assistant stylist for the magazine Klik, and then as a fashion editor for the magazines 01 and Votre Beaute. In 1998, shortly after designing costumes for the cult film «The Attack of the Giant Moussaka» he decided to move to New York to begin an international career. There, he studied photography at the prestigous Parsons School of Design and worked as a fashion stylist with international titles like Vogue (Spain), Vogue Sposa, Jalouse (Russia), Sunday Telegraph, Surface, Harpers Bazaar (Spain), The Face, Van and many others. However, in 2004 he returned to Greece because as he says the experience was unique but he had grown tired of the lack of personal relationships in a city whose only god is money. Initially he took over as fashion editor for the magazine Status (Liberis Publications) and later the special editions of the same publisher, the current Identity Media, where he remains until today fashion editor. He simultaneously collaborated with other Greek magazines like Vimadonna, Vogue, Life & Style, Gamos, and many more. Since 2005 he has been appointed as window dresser and fashion consultant for Attica DPS, which combined with his photography studies define his needs for continuous growth. Inquisitive perfectionist, restless, and fond of sexy but chic woman, he combines street smart with high end fashion, organizes entire cinematic scenarios in his mind and calls himself a classic with a twist .. or maybe a twisted classic? agency: D-Tales

BEYONCE’S GREEK STYLIST Dennis Kolpodinos, the Greek stylist of dozens of famous Greek celebrities with more than ten years’experience in fashion, talks to us about the latest trends for this summer and for his new working relationship with the world-renowned Beyoncé! Really, how did your collaboration with Beyonce come about?
For the past few years now I have been working in London on fashion editorials for catalogs, magazines and blogs. By this means I had the opportunity to join the agency «Streeters» from where the proposal to work with Beyonce was given to me. Originally I was asked to suggest an outfit for the Grammys and later for this year’s tour.
And Vrettos Vrettakos?
Of course it was unthinkable to not suggest a Greek designer. For many years now, I maintain a strong working relationship with Vrettos Vrettakos with the best prospects. From the beginning I asked him for one of his full body jumpsuits from his collection «Spring - Summer 2013» which fitted perfectly both the stature of Beyoncé and the concept of the tour «The Mrs. Carter World Tour».
Did you have the chance to meet her up close?
First off I should tell you that I went through a very competitive casting. I met almost all of her co-workers, her manager, even her mother and in the end Beyonce herself for the first fitting in London.
What kind of person is she?
Despite the notability of her name she is very spontaneous and friendly with her co-workers. We did not know each other beforehand, but from the first moment she considered me a member of her team. This certainly made my job easier. Without a second though her professionalism and organization are what characterize her.

SPOTLIGHT
«... my goal is to continue to work internationally and Beyoncé was certainly a very good experience... I cannot help feeling a sense of success.» Did you feel a kind of satisfaction when comparing yourself with other Greek stylists?
I was and I am in my work very discreet. What characterizes me is my dedication and hard work. I do not care about showing off to those around me. On the other hand, my goal is to work abroad and Beyoncé was certainly a very good experience ... I can not feel a sense of success.
We saw on twitter you leaving a post that alluded to possibly working with Rihanna ... is this true?
Following our collaboration with Beyoncé, Vrettos Vrettakos and I have received many proposals for possible work with other international celebrities. One of these has been for work with Rihanna and many more ... but unfortunately nothing can be disclosed at this time.
With which Greek celebrities have you worked?
I have worked with almost all of the domestic stars like Natalia Germanou, Peggy Zina., Konstantinos Argyros, Melina Aslanidou, Hlias Vrettos, Eleonora Zouganeli, Christos Dantis, Giorgos Tsalikis, Giorgos Papadopoulos, Nikos Kourkoulis, Kelly Kelekidou, Nikos Oikonomopoulos, Kostas Martakis and Amaryllis. But for years now I maintain friendships and permanent working relationships with Michalis Hatzigiannis Despina Olympiou and Evridiki.
Tell me a bit about this summer’s fashion trends...
This summer is characterized by mix & match combinations and architecture in clothing. A lot of stripes, a lot of black and white, floral patterns with ethnic prints and of course bright colors that naturally highlight your tan. Ruffles, polka dots, leotards, transparet fabrics that highlight femininity, and funky sets with attitude. High-heeled sandals, ballerina shoes, espadrilles, colorful heels and platforms with playful heels in many different materials always complete a stunning summer outfit.
What is considered «prohibitive» to a summer look. Something that in are tired and say «No more!».
The truth is that women here in Greece like to over style. Like I said stripes and bright colors are in fashion, but there is no need to overdo it. There must always be a harmony and symmetry in your outfits. Also you do not need to put all the trends together because they just will not achieve the desired result.
In your opinion what are those brands that stood out positively for their summer collections?
In my opinion, those that dominated are the whole Givenchy and Balmain collections but also the always timeless Alexander Mcqueen. As far as shoes the platforms and high heels from Giuseppe Zanotti give a lot of style to an outfit.
How do you feel about being part of SYNQ Magazine?
It’s really exciting. I have worked with the excellent photography duo Andreas Sellinidis and Nico Leone on many projects in the past including a recent editorial with singer Michalis Hatzigiannis. They have a unique style and work ethic which is similar to my work experiences abroad, and I like that. They offered me the opportunity to be part of the main creative team, giving me the opportunity to be work along with another well-known and respected colleague of mine, Stefanos Zaousis. Of course I said yes. The whole creative team is comprised of celebrity creative artists, well known in the industry, but we also have a few new entry creative artists who we eagerly support. The team spirit is high and a friendly atmosphere dominates our meetings and projects. It is great to work with talented people who are easy to communicate and share a common goal.
How would you describe SYNQ?
The magazine is an effort to support as many parts of the Greek fashion industry who are struggling during this crisis, but also to promote creative artists locally and globally. At the same time we want to remind our readers that we are still part of the global community, have a right to have fun and to dream, and encourage networking on a global scale. We all need a breath of fresh air and our creative efforts here at SYNQ Magazine hopefully will give people this much wanted escape.
If your fashion style could be described with a song title or movie what would it be?
Everyone will be waiting for me to say «Sex & The City» which admittedly could be the epitome of my personal fashion sense but personally I prefer the movie «Celebrity» by Woody Allen. It’s a film that could be the daily routine of my life.

MODEL Dimitris Lagiopoulos (BOOM)
O
ften called the Greek version of top model David Gandy, model Dimitris Lagiopoulos, is one of the best models in Greece and is slowly making his mark internationally. We saw him this year in the final dozen on the catwalks of Giorgio Armani, position he acquired competing with thousands of other top models of the world. But we aren’t surprised with his success, nor for the recent news that a well-known international singer chose him for the role of her Casanova in her new video clip. Stay tuned! In Greece, he has taken part in the best fashion editorials and advertising campaigns, was two years on the show “Mes Tin Kali Xara” with Natalia Germanou, and we recently saw him starring in the new Onirama video clip “E, Kai ...”. Of course if you still are wondering who Dimitris Lagiopoulos is we remind you of the handsome man who delivered the prize “Fashion Icon in a video clip” together with the dazzling Doukissa Nomikou at the Mad Music Awards 2013, but also the final act of Mad Walk 2013 accompanying Eurovision winner Elena Paparizou by coating his body with a sexy array of colored powders. We guess that is what is meant by the expression music is color for the soul! We already have lost him to the international fashion scene, due to his new representation with Italy’s BOOM, as well as his upcoming placement in a top London agency, but we do not mind! He represents Greece not only with his striking looks but with great professionalism, and this makes us proud! Be sure to check out Dimitri’s facebook page: facebook.com/lagiopoulos
