400 SERIES Flange Gasketing Materials 450 Synthetic Fiber Sheet A low temperature, non-asbestos sheet gasketing material which is suitable for general services to 390°F ( 200°C ), 365 psi ( 25 bar ). 450 sheet gasketing is recommended for use in water, gas, brine and steam applications.
Typical Properties Maximum Temperature: 390°F ( 200°C ) Maximum Pressure: 365 psi ( 25 bar ) Compressibility ( ASTM-F36 ): 7-17% Sealability ( ASTM-F37 ): 0,25 ml/hr
Not recommended for use in chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic and ester ketones.

457 Carbon Fiber/Nitrile Binder A high temperature, non-asbestos sheet gasketing material formulated for a wide variety of gasketing needs to 840°F (450°C ), 1470 psi (100 bar ). 457 is recommended for use in a broad range of steam, water, oil and hydrocarbon applications.
Not recommended for use in chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic and ester ketones. Typical Properties Maximum Temperature: 840°F (450°C ) Maximum Pressure: 1470 psi (100 bar ) Compressibility ( ASTM-F36 ): 5-15%

455 Aramid Fiber/Nitrile Binder A general purpose sheet gasketing material offering good sealability and chemical resistance. 455 incorporates a synthetic fiber and a nitrile binder. This material can be used against water, salt solutions, organic alkali aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ester, oils and gases up to 575°F ( 300°C ).
Not recommended for use in chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic and ester ketones. Typical Properties Maximum Temperature: 575°F ( 300°C ) Maximum Pressure: 735 psi (50 bar )

459 Graphite Sheet with Nickel Reinforcement A nickel reinforced, flexible, graphite sheet gasketing material. This material is designed for use in high temperature, high pressure flange applications. It has excellent chemical resistance and can be used up to 1600°F (870°C ) in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
Typical Properties Maximum Temperature: 1600°F (870°C ) non-oxidizing, 850°F (450°C ) oxidizing. Maximum Pressure: 2000 psi (140 bar ) Compressibility ( ASTM-F36 ): 40% Sealability ( ASTM-F37) : 0,5 ml/hr
