Mackenzie Furlett (she/her) ( Movement Captain, u/s Frances, u/s Joan) is a junior musical theater major from Vernon Hills, IL (a suburb of Chicago). She is so excited to be working with the Department of Drama again after working on productions such as H*llo K*tty Syndrome (studio project) and Miss Havisham’s Wedding (New Works, New Voices). She is so grateful for getting to work with such an amazing company and would like to thank her family and friends, as well as her peers and instructors for all their love and support. Samantha Harnick (she/her) ( Tilly ) is a junior musical theater major from Los Angeles, CA. In the past, she has performed in the musical adaptation of As You Like It by Shaina Taub as Celia (Department of Drama mainstage) and continued her Shakespeare work studying at the Globe Theatre in London in the fall. She is grateful for her amazing company that has allowed space for craziness and seriousness.
Kevin Ilardi (Frank) is a junior actor major with a concentration in musical performance. He is from Goshen, NY, where he began his educational theater career with Cinderella, 42nd Street, Godspell, and Beauty and the Beast. During his time enrolled in Syracuse University he has portrayed Old Gargary in Miss Havisham’s Wedding (New Works, New Voices) and Oliver in the musical adaptation of As You Like It (mainstage). He is coming off of a semester abroad studying at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. He is incredibly excited to be portraying Frank in Melancholy Play, and he would like to thank his family and friends for coming to support him and his fantastic cast and crew.
Sydney Kamel (she/ her) (u/s Tilly) is a junior musical theater major from Colorado. She is excited to work with the Syracuse University Department of Drama once more, after performing as Imogen in Cymbeline (mainstage), Natalie Goodman in Next to Normal (studio project), and a as a swing in the beloved (unseen) production of Urinetown. She is so grateful to be a part of this beautiful, weird, goofy production, and she wants to thank her family and her friends for all the love, support, and joy that they give her every day. Ryan Kennedy (he/ him/his) (u/s Frank, u/s Lorenzo) is a sophomore acting major from Connecticut. He is beyond excited to be a part of his first Department of Drama mainstage production having previously appeared in The New Works, New Voices initiative’s reading of The Myth of the Mountain (ensemble) and Black Box Players’ Dealing Dreams (swing).
Dani Saril (she/her) Frances) is a sophomore musical theater major from New Rochelle, NY. She recently worked on Barbecue, produced by the Department of Drama. On campus, Dani can be seen performing with her Improv Group, Galactic Chug, as well as with her a cappella group, Oy Cappella. Eleni Stavros (she/ her) ( Joan ) is a sophomore actor/singer from San Diego, CA, and is thrilled to be making her Department of Drama debut in this wonderful production. Franco Tomaino (Lorenzo ) is a sophomore actor/singer from Wethersfield, CT. This is his second Department of Drama production, and he could not be more grateful for the support and encouragement of the cast and creative team throughout the entire rehearsal process. He would like to thank his family, friends, and his voice teacher Richard Koons who definitely isn’t mad that he hasn’t learned his classical piece yet.
