The Vuolvos have lived in Boise since 1994 and opened Gino’s Ristorante in 1996 in downtown Boise. They relocated to Meridian in 2009 and have been packing the house ever since! Gino’s offers traditional Italian favorites & wood-fired pies. Let’s play a game…I’ll say a word and you tell me the first word that comes to your mind. Ready? “Idaho.” How many of you immediately thought of “potato?” Yep, me too. However, our 43rd state has much more to offer families than a yummy potato bar. Spring breakers will find a perfect balance of urban culture and untamed outdoor adventures. The city’s layout makes it easy for families to get around, and hundreds of downtown hotels allow for easy walks to Boise’s shopping areas, art galleries, museums and theaters, plus more than 80 restaurants – many with kid-friendly menus. Here’s some fabulous “Must Do’s” this Spring: Salmon River Jet Boat Races, The Idaho Aquarium, The Boise Farmer’s Market, Roaring Springs Water Park, & The Idaho City Hot Springs Resort. Local parks provide playgrounds, trails for walking and biking, as well as open space for relaxing.
