Recent Exciting Software Updates Improved Performance for Purchase Orders
We’re continuously working to improve performance across the system. If users are generating Purchase Orders using Production, they will notice a significant improvement in the time it takes to generate their PO Cart.

Ignore message option in MealSuite Connect
Our June 7th release has included a new functionality in Connect allowing users to ‘Ignore’ unwanted and unprocessed messages. As it happens with integrations between two applications, sometimes Electronic Health Record systems send us updates for people (like outpatients) that users may not want to see in MealSuite. If those messages are showing ‘Resolve’ – asking to resolve the person – users are now able to ‘Ignore’ them to clear from the ist of new messages. We recommend using this option for any updates received for outpatients or discharged people.
Improvements to the Daily Display Menu Reports
We have made some tweaks to our Daily Display Menu Report to improve the use of space on the page and make it easier to read. The menu day information, day and meal, will now print in the same size as the menu items. When printing for Regular/Regular, the diet and texture will also be hidden on the report. Only nonregular diet/texture will show on the page. Additionally, the name of the menu, if included, will print in a bigger font and will be included on each page.

Improvements to Recipe Reports Starting with Production report’s Recipes at Scale, then Menu Report’s Recipe Cookbook, and ending with Recipe Reports’ Scaled Recipes – formatting improvements will be made to increase the font size and consistency of the information displayed on printed recipes. CONNECT unknown Allergies When an Allergy is received through the Connect interface and not mapped to an Allergy in Synergy, the name of the Unknown Allergy will appear in profiles and reports as a safeguard. While this safeguard will not remove any foods from the menu of a person who has an unknown allergy, it will be a good reminder that Connect received an Allergy which is not known in our System and requires action. Purchase Order Interface direct to Sysco or through eCPS We are currently piloting our Purchase Order functions which allow you to create purchase orders that tell you exactly how much of each ingredient you need to purchase based on your production, saving you time and money. Within this powerful tool, you can even send your orders directly from Synergy to Sysco and/or eCPS. We look forward to providing you with more information soon.
Synergy User Support Tips Are your customers planning your Summer events? Don’t forget about our Special Event Menus! A special event menu is a single day spread designed for festive occasions or emergencies in which the standard menu is not served. When a special event menu is scheduled, it will be served in place of the standard menu for that day. Once the day passes, your standard menu goes back into effect. Creating a special event menu.
