Why Vertical Construction? Wear and tear is low on CANDAS corrugators due to our vertical design. A small gap between the top and bottom mold blocks is left when they are closed, allowing for expansion and free movement. Specifically designed column spacers are used for each mold block size to create the perfect mold block closing position and pressure. Our drive system applies force at four points of contact to the mold block carriers pushing them around evenly, preventing them from tilting or jamming.

Mold Block Technology CANDAS’s mold block design is optimized for the most efficient cooling, maximum production versatility and quick changeovers for different pipe sizes.

CANDAS’s Mold Blocks are maintenance-free. There are no cooling water channels that need to be cleaned frequently like with direct water-cooled corrugators. CANDAS’s quick change system for mold blocks make for quick changeover times. Mold blocks can be changed without tools and smaller molds are changed by hand. Larger diameters have their own automated changing unit.

Corrugator Extrusion Die Technology CANDAS’s die head and tooling are easily calibrated for optimal material distribution and quick startups. Our customers can achieve high outputs and line speeds with our extrusion dies while maintaining low back pressure for safe operation. We have proven results with a wide range of materials including PE, PP and PVC.

QUALITY OF THE DWC PIPES The voluntary compliance with the institute and the acquisition of the quality certification involves: • PROCESS CONTROL through monitoring, recording and checking process and product parameters (temperature, pressures, extrusion speed, processing anomalies) • PRODUCT CONTROL, all the tests made according to EN 13476-1 are carried out on the product at a steady cadence. These tests are the minimum requirements that must be withstood and maintained by the product. The tests results are summarized in a “test report” that is at the customer’s disposal and it certifies the tests that have been carried out successfully. • PERIODICAL CONTROLAUDITS: CANDAS carries out, through its network os inspectors, control visits and sample tests on the finished product and on the operating documents. As a complete guarantee of this, the manufacturer has implemented a Company Quality Management System, in keeping with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 norm. An element of quality of the CANDAS product is the ability to fully comply with the strict specifications defined by the relevant norm EN 13476-1. This quality must be guaranteed to the client and maintained steadily in all the phases of the production process in order to assure use suitability and resistance throughout the life of the products. For this reason the manufacturer has decided to refer to a third body for what concerns

Pipe Coupling Technology SAFE CONNECT A comprehensive and reliable local waste water collection and removal solution to protect human health and the environment and support existing infrastructure. This is a very important criteria for any waste water collection and removal system. Another important criteria is that the waste water network‘s pipe joints must remain hermetic throughout the system’s operational life, without causing additional local stresses on the surrounding environment at pointtype pollution sites. We obtain CANDAS system connections which during the operational life of the pipes prevent infiltration of underground water (groundwater), and prevents seepage of polluted waste water into the soil, thus preventing local point-type soil pollution. The assembly of the pipe components at the construction site is a simple matter of lubricating the end of the pipe with the rubber sealing ring then inserting the pipe extension, using basic tools. A tight fit for the pipes is achieved thanks to profiled EPDM rubber sealing rings, which guarantee the hermetic sealing of the connection points (pressure 0.5 bar).
