FROM THE DESK AT TBAR...
Welcome to ANL Polled Herefords and Brooks Farms Annual Spring Bull Sale on Sunday March 19, 2023, at the farm, Steelman, Saskatchewan. The folks at ANL are no strangers to the industry as they have been supplying high standard seedstock throughout North America for generations. Brooks Farms is rapidly becoming one of the great up and coming young herds in the breed. Together they present an outstanding set of bulls for your selection. In the last few months in this exciting market, do ability, rustling, docility, low maintenance and sustainability have been essential in the beef cattle industry… traits which cannot be documented but are essential to increase your bottom line. In addition, performance, hair and high maternal values are key to success whether you are a purebred breeder or a cow/calf producer.
The 2023 lineup is outstanding! High performance sires with hair, soundness, shape, and presence. The quality and uniformity of the offering is consistent throughout the group as they are genetically similar. The “Bottom Line” sire group offers performance, stoutness with optimal birth weights and high maternal values. “Start Me Up 71D” and his son “Start Me Up 201H” will be a feature group sale day headlined by the Reserve Champion Hereford bull of the Presidents Cup at the 2022 Canadian Western Agribition. Both ANL and Brooks Farms celebrated tremendous success at Canada’s national exhibition. Throughout the offering you will find bulls for your heifer pastures especially the sire group of “Kreed.”
Among this strong lineup, there are many breeder bull opportunities that one can explore. You can be certain that each bull carries high maternal values… you will want to keep all the daughters for replacements. As we restock North America’s cow herd, Hereford influenced females will demand a premium and have high asset value.
Both operations are relatively close so one can preview both groups of bulls in a short trip any time prior to the sale. Feel free to give ANL or the Brooks boys a call to discuss their bulls and the bulls that will add value to your breeding program. Plan to spend a Sunday afternoon with us… it will be well worth the trip!
If we may be of assistance prior to, or sale day, feel free to contact any of the T Bar Team or myself, we will help you in a professional manner.
