Alanna and I are pleased to be joining the Buy the Beef group for this year’s bull sale. We thought it would be a better fit for us and our clients to sell a little later, to give these calves an extra month to develop without being pushed. Feature bull here folks, you can breed this cow to anything and she’ll just lay down and have a great one. There was a heated conversation around the kitchen table at Youngdale when Barry decided to offer Little Lady for sale, Barry won out, much to Rob’s dismay. She’s an outcross by Connealy Courage. Her first calf by Believe sold to Come as U R and Trent Walls for $10,000. Her next calf by Hi Def (Gus) was used here for a couple years and is now working for Sheldon McDonald, next had a heifer by Froh Show that we retained, this guy by Five Iron 21F might be the best one yet and her calf this year is a rock star by DFCC Jacked. In the immortal words of Doug Henderson, “If you plant cabbage, you’re going to get cabbage.”
