RED WILBAR PACKER 51F - SIRE

159L - GRANDDAM

Packer is no longer with us, but we used him on our heifer pen as well as mature herd and he was a true calving ease bull. Strong footed, moderate framed, and highly maternal were the key qualities of 51F. He moderates frame and BW and his daughters are calving with tidy level udders. This will be the last set of Packer 51F sons for sale.

Two years ago we had an awful drought, but this past year was stellar for growing pasture, hay and silage. We were very blessed this past year, many were not. This set of bulls are developing similar to our past bull pens. They did not receive any creep feed except for the 2 weeks prior to weaning to decrease weaning stress. This year the silage they are getting is peas, alfalfa and barley mixture, more silage this year and less whole oats since we purchase our grain. They have been gaining well on feed, but not pushed, and we feel they are in excellent shape to go out and breed. Feel free to call or stop by at anytime. ATTRACTIVE is an AI sire we used to add some fresh genetics, he has been very popular among breeders. He is in the top 1% of the breed in weaning and yearling weight. Look for these two sons to add high growth and performance to your herd.

This bull has performed all year long, he is long, wide topped, deep sided and is full of muscle. His epd’s put him in the top 5% of the breed for weaning and yearling weight. His dam is a very thick made female, stout and has a beautiful udder. She is a young female and we are looking forward to more calves from her. The grand-dam is stellar, this year will be her 11th calf.

This Attractive son is going to be a bigger framed bull, he is long and big ribbed. His calves should have great growth! His dam raises a big calf every year and keeps her condition, she is a very solid producer, wish I had a whole herd of cows like her, beautiful udder and excellent foot. We kept her 2019 bull here and used him hard last year.

We purchased Bravo, the 2020 lead off high selling Black Angus bull from Lewis Farms. Before they sold him, Lewis Farms drew semen and used him in their own herd. He has a great spread of an 80lb birth weight to 1537lb yearling weight, and is in the top 10% of the breed for growth. He is hairy, stout, moderate but exceptionally thick with large testicles, and he has passed that down to his calves. His daughters are having their first calves now, they are looking great and the udders are beautiful.

A cracker of a calf off a first calf heifer, can’t complain when a first calver weans off calves like this. He also has performed awesome after weaning! This guy is very wide across the top, long, super hairy, big belly and very quiet too. These Bravo sons are peas in a pod.

BLACK RIDGE BRAVO 4K

Another excellent calf from a first calf heifer, Bravo was almost exclusively used in our heifer pen and now for two years has had top quality calves. This guy could be a twin to the MJO 13K bull in the pen. Hairy strong topped big bulls.

A flashy stout bull with a great pedigree to boot! Bravo, Bank Note, Power Up and the immortal Right Time. This guy has some jam to him, he is long, wide, strong foot and bone with great angus character, awesome hair and growth. Quality and depth of pedigree run deep in this bull. His dam was a top end heifer calf, bred heifer, and she catches your eye. We hope she follows in her mother’s footsteps and keeps raising good ones.

A little short on ears, it was a cold day when we found him, but it hasn’t slowed him down. This bull is a real eye catcher in the pen, nice front end, excellent hair, well balanced and thick. His dam is a goodlooking cow who keeps her condition when raising a big stout calf. Lots of solid cow power in the pedigree with Insight, Tiger, Banknote and Donna.

Our first set of calves from this bull, he is a moderate beef machine, low to the ground with an excellent foot under him. He has big nuts, small angus head, walks like a cat and for the past two years has been used on a section of rocky pasture with 80 cows and he never loses weight. He sires deep middled heavily muscled bull calves which are impressive.

This bull was our biggest calf at weaning cracking the 1000lb mark, he has been at the top of the pen since birth. He has a nice angus head and shoulder, but is wide, big middled and a big rump. His dam is just a young cow, we retained her last year’s heifer as well. She has an excellent udder with awesome milk. His weaning and yearling weight epds are the top 5 and 6% of the breed. You will find him sale day

This Dewalt son has been a masculine meat machine all year, he is a moderate and a heavily muscled bull. He is long and has had the herd bull presence all year long. He is in the top 25% and 15% of the breed for weaning and yearling weight. His dam has been a stellar cow and we have retained 2 daughters. This bull is just solid, keep all of his daughters.

This bull is long, deep and has beautiful hair. Since he was a twin, he was raised by a heifer who lost her calf. She did an excellent job but the older this guy gets the better he gets, he has really come along. Very well-balanced bull, hard to poke a hole in him. Dam is quiet, great udder and has been a very consistent cow.

Off a first calf heifer that goes back to Chance’s 4H heifer, he will be a moderate bull with lots of length, has a very nice angus head and well-muscled. His dam has a beautiful udder and has kept her condition while weaning a big bull.

Power cow bull, this guy was born long! His dam is a bigger framed female, impeccable udder quality and milk, and yet she is extremely easy keeping and still raises big calves. A muscular bull with lots of length and very nice head and shoulders, very flashy type, he looked like a bull from a very young age and matured quickly.

This guy really performed beyond my expectations, started out at 79lbs and weaned off at 777lbs. Not to sound like a broken record, but he is like his brothers, moderate, long and heavily muscled. His dam also is a big easy keeping cow with a good udder and excellent milk. Brother sold to Matthew Leippi last year

Another bull I struggled with putting in the sale as he is an April born calf. The older John and I get, we keep moving our calving back later in the year. Many customers don’t need bulls until June or July now. His dam is one of those cows that always looks good and holds her condition, and an excellent udder. Hairy, moderate and meaty describes this bull. You will find him on sale day.

From our new herdsire, BAR-E-L Bankroll 31H, we own him in partnership, so he arrived later in breeding season. This guy is a real tank, big strong masculine bull is how I would describe him. The Renown dam is a beautiful moderate female with a great udder and has that wedge shape to her.

These next bulls are all sired by our home raised herd sire, these are his last calves as we sold him to a neighbour. He was one of the best performing bulls we had ever raised, he is exceptionally thick, deep with a smooth shoulder and fine refined angus head and character, and exceptional scrotal. His personal performance was 842lbs adj WW and 1480lb actual YW. His daughters are calving now and they are beautiful females with excellent udder quality.

I really struggled with entering this bull into the sale, he is just a so good, but he is an April calf. He is a performance bull, big capacity, big butt and big hair. He is bigger than a lot of his February pen mates and he is two months younger. We have slowly been backing our calving dates the past few years. This guys full sister just calved and she has a beautiful udder and milk. We sell our calves by the pound and this guy has that!

This bull is very complete in his makeup, just a real solid bull from nose to tail. Clean sheathed, strong top. His dam is a solid and steady cow with 10 calves now. This bull and the dam of the 142K bull are maternal siblings. The 142 cow family is a very strong family here and we have lots of her influence in our herd.

The dam of this bull is a really good crossbred cow, she has size and performance. She always has big calves and they have all been unassisted with lots of zip to them. She is not a mean cow, but she is definitely a ranch cow. This guy has wicked hair, strong wide top and will be a bigger framed bull. Solid black and polled.
