It was a truly exciting fall with cattle prices commanding a premium and a long-stretched fall where you could get extra things done without Old man winter huffin & puffin down your neck.

The offering this year is extremely deep in quality. As always there are some interesting and exclusive pedigrees only available at Early Sunset.

The bull division in both breeds are strong in quality. They are raised in the same management as always. TMR Ration, High roughage and plenty of space to promote athleticism and soundness.

The female division is the result of wading right on in and hand picking these ladies and they truly speak for themselves.

OBI Welcome

OBI is once again pleased to be working with Jim & Peggy Grant from Early Sunset Ranch in their 43rd Annual Bull & Female Sale.

Jim continues to obtain top-end genetics through A.I. and walking bulls at the ranch. His Simmental bulls this year are sure a powerful set with great weaning weights. On the Angus side, the bulls are growthy individuals with great hair coats. The yearling bulls get plenty of exercise in the large pens to improve the longevity and foot structure. These bulls are created in mind of you the commercial cattleman.

Again, like every year, Jim goes through the open females and hand selects 15 Angus & Simmental heifers for your pleasures. The genetics offered here are unique pieces of breeding material.

Bull Development Program

Bulls are developed on high roughage ration in large acres to ensure their freedom is not compromised result in sound herd bulls. Our goal is to engineer bulls that are athletic, sound, and ready to work in any commercial environment.

Early Sunset Bull Guarantee

Early Sunset guarantees to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. Should your Early Sunset bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value, or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another Early Sunset bull. If you have a problem with our bull please notify us immediately.

Early Sunset $2 Dollar/Day

From May 1 we will charge $2 per/day for keeping your bull for a reasonable length of time. We will keep your bulls under good management and care, developing them as we do our own breeding stock. If your bull(s) are left in our care and management we require you insure them against death.

Early Sunset In Herd Use

Early Sunset Ranch reserves the right to draw semen for in-herd use on any bull in the sale; at the buyer’s convenience and our expense.

BULL WARRANTY

We guarantee to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. In the event that your bull is a non satisfactory breeder the seller will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for more than the original selling price of any bull or female sold in the sale. The consignors will not provide replacement or credit for physical injury or mismanagement. Therefore we stress the importance of insurance on your bull. An insurance agent will be available on sale day.
