Welcome to our 30th sale. A lot has changed in 30years. The first sale was held at Charlton’s Auctionmart with a group of us and 3 different breeds represented. That first catalog was printed off the week of the sale and stapled toghether by the ladies that worked at the mart. Then the following years we sold with Rainalta until 2000. In 2009 we moved the sale to the yard. Along with having a yearly sale we also consigned 8-10 2yr olds to the Calgary Bull sale for 18 years. We started out in the mid 80’s with tradition Simmentals and changes to Red and Black Simmentals in the late 90’s. The Red Angus were added in 2004 and that has led to over 1100 bulls sold from Tappen North Dakota North to Hines Creek Alberta, Rossburn Manitoba West to Fort Steele British Columbia and everywhere in between. A special thanks to all customers that make it all possible.

The bull pen is represented by 5 sire groups in the Simms and 2 in Red Angus. All of these sires are bulls that have walked our pastures. We flushed one of the favorite Specialist daughters and Epic group is the result of that flush. He calved really nice and they are also the high performance group. High Grade is the next new group. They are moderate and very easy fleshing. He calved so nice that he had to put in shift heifer pen before going out with his group of cows. Coldcase bulls are all out of heifers that have lots of muscle expression. His first daughters are calving right now and liking what we are seeing. Easy keeping and nice udders. Alliance is another real good group that will add a little frame, few less this year as he had a heifer year last year. Milestone has been around a few years and his bulls always have lots of style. A new sire in the Angus is Metallica that was used on heifers and a few cows. Calved good without giving up muscle and performance Tex is the good old standby, does a lot of things right.
