THE ROYAL ANGUS SALE

THERE’S JUST

A R O U N D T H E R OYA L Everyone knows the first week of November, all eyes are on purebred cattle just off Lakeshore Blvd in downtown Toronto. Last year the amount of people and cattle gathered around were record shattering with plans of 2024 being no different. Truly special to T Bar C are the picks on offer. When you think of the Royal or purebred cattle in general in the province of Ontario, the Cornish family comes right to mind. Their beautiful farm setting is home to some phenomenal Angus cattle and with plans to have Showdown in Ontario next year with Whiskey Lane being on the tour, what better time to make your selection from some of the best in business. The Clarke family have been aggressively operating a top-notch program in southern Ontario with one the largest Angus cowherds in the province and will have the features of their pick standing in the barn for you to witness. The Blairs. Ag pick carries as much weight as any lot we might sell this coming year. This large farming operation not only hosts one of the most successful bull sales every spring, but their female sale gets as much international interest as any that we would be around. Kevin and his crew have really been aggressive with their donors and ET work... truly an opportunity! The bull claves on offer have been selected for multiple reasons and we believe have the recommendations to further the breed. Every year the heifer calves on offer are always sought after. This section is loaded with not only phenotype but big time genetic heritage that will not only be competitive, but be a sound investment for your herd. Increasing in numbers this year is the awesome set of breds on offer. Big sturdy girls hand selected to be future matrons, check the pedigrees and check the services, lots of potential here. The frozen segment included involves the who’s who. Pregnancies that will literally Nascar your herd ahead, eggs from bulls you can’t get and semen on bulls that are considered sacred. With all this being said, we’d ask you to gather around on the Saturday night of the historic Royal for some elite genetics and fun atmosphere we know the Royal is famous for. - BEN WRIGHT

Balanced EPD’s, a mother with a cow family behind her and an udder you cant draw any better. Legend has the ingredients for the most discriminating breeder. His dam 2G once was a high seller at AAC, but in her first 2 efforts topped QC at Elmhirsts and Legend was in her belly when we purchased her for $12,000. A unique opportunity to analyse and purchase your choice in a trio of females. To us cow families matter and these Lucy cattle have always bred well for us, with flawless udder quality. The lucy family has been with Gilchrist farms since near the beginning and during that time we have sold both bulls and females annually through both the In It To Win It sale as well as the Midwestern bull sale. The matron of this trio is 711F who has an impressive look, depth of body and balance while raising 711L this year who is equally well represented. 711k who is the bred heifer combines this look and balance from her dam with an impressively wide pin setting and lower quarter power coming from her sire DL rainmaker.

It does not come as an overstatement to call Flora 6078D one of the most influential Angus cows of this generation. 11 sons have averaged $22,000; including the $85,000 Investment, and it was become almost predictable that her daughters will top the Merit production sales. A First Lady Classic Champion and Top 10 Qualifier herself, with progeny obtaining this title as well, she can do it all. Combining Flora with the maternal legend Density or the true breeder bull Gable is a rare and exciting opportunity. Guarantee one pregnancy if implanted by a certified technician. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made. PEDIGREE ESTIMATES Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such. HEALTH: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements. GUARANTEE: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness. PREGNANCY INFORMATION: All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service. LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder. DELIVERY: Every assistance will be given in getting your purchases home. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value. ERRORS: All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supersede any written material in the catalogue.
