Bike Tour “Great Silk Way” International Youth Organization, together with “Ireli” Public Union organized a bike tour in order to celebrate Youth Day, as well as to promote healthy life style on 2nd of December.

European Citizenship Representative of the Great Silk Way Secretariat took part in the European Citizenship training course in Budapest, Hungary, on 15- 22 February 2015. The project was organized by Council of Europe Youth department, at European Youth centre in Budapest.

The Harmony of the sounds

Representative of the GSW secretariat took part in the international training - "The th Harmony of the sounds"- on 11-19 March in Fertilia, Italy. The project was organized by Mine Vaganti organization and in partnership with Great Silk Way IYU. This training course was designed to promote tolerance among young people representing 11 countries with different cultures and to involve them more actively in the peace building process.

Innovative partnership opportunities

G

reat Silk Way IYU was held "Innovative partnership opportunities" project with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan. Great Silk Way IYU held roundtable meeting with participation of a group of young journalists, at ADA University to discuss the role of media in the development of the partnership.

3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue

G

reat Silk Way IYU was invited to participate in the 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on 2122th of May, Baku, Azerbaijan. Chairman of Union, Mr. Fuad Muradov gave speech on the silk roads initiative and its potential for today's intercultural dialogue at the Forum. Members of Secretariat created and improved its relations with many representatives of international organizations, NGOs and governmental bodies while participating in dierent sessions and panels of Forum. 03

Next steps of youth policy development in EaP

A

cting Secretary General of “Great Silk Way” IYU participated in “Next steps of youth policy development in EaP” seminar in Lithuania May 28- June 3, 2015. “Next steps of youth policy development in EaP" project brought together national youth councils and active youth organizations from EaP region countries. Young people had opportunity to discuss very important issues such as the youth policy development; co-management and youth work implementations and future youth policy vision in the region. The results of 1st and 2nd Eastern Partnership Youth Forums, national youth policies in the Eastern Partnership countries, successful projects focused on the problems of young people were also among the topics discussed in seminar.

Trainers against discrimination

Representative of Great Silk Way IYU participated in the preparation meeting of partner organizations for the long term project "Trainers against discrimination" that took place in Berlin, Germany. The project was hosted by Creative Development Center in cooperation with CRISP and in partnership with Great Silk Way IYU, within the framework of Erasmus + program. Preparation meeting offered a great opportunity for partner organizations to talk over all the technical aspects and implementation details of training in Georgia, local actions and evaluation game in Croatia. Also during this meeting issues about partnership and future actions were broadly discussed. 05

5th Euro-Arab Youth Forum Acting Secretary General of Great Silk Way IYU took part in the 5th Euro-Arab Youth Forum in 2-5th of September in Strasbourg, France. The forum was a Joint initiative by the Department of Youth and Sport of the League of Arab States and the Youth Department of the Council of Europe. The forum welcomed 70 European and Arab youth leaders and youth workers. The aim of the forum was to foster mutual cooperation and dialogue among young Arab and European leaders.

Trainers against Discrimination The second Part of the project “Trainers against Discrimination� led by Creative Development Center in cooperation with CRISP and in partnership with Great Silk Way International Youth Union was held in Rustavi Scout Center, Georgia on September 9-16. Participants visited to ECMI Caucasus and Taso Foundation within the program. During the training participants were trained on how to play a simulation game with the aim to raise awareness on the problems of integration and challenges related to minorities. Participants encourage young people to conduct local follow up activities after the training. Trainers as well as coordinators will be supporting local activities through mentoring and monitoring the process. Local actions are foreseen to be realized by the end of October.

Peace is...

On September 27 -October 4 representatives of Great Silk Way Youth Union - took part in the training course "Peace is..." in Senderiz, Spain. The main subjects of this training course that involved 36 young activists from 16 European countries were peace and nonviolence, as well as definition of culture of peace. This course was organized in the framework of Erasmus + by Youth Peace Ambassadors Network that was created as a result of the project of the Council of Europe Youth Department. During the training course participants also had a workshop on analysis of the refugee crisis in Europe. In view of ensuring increasing role of youth in peacebuilding and providing a follow-up of the project, it was decided to proceed with implementation of several initiatives discussed during the course.

1st International Conference on Sustainable Development and Social Corporative Responsibility October 15 – representative of the Great Silk Way International Youth Union participated in the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development and Social Corporative Responsibility. Conference aims to improve dialogue and cooperation on sustainable development between state, corporative and nongovernmental fields and active participation of corporative sector in social projects.

9th UNESCO Youth Forum

A

cting Secretary General of the GSW IYU participated in the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum. Over 500 young people from all over the world are due to meet at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 26 to 28 October 2015 to ensure that youth remains top of the agenda ahead of COP21, the UN Climate Change Conference, in the context of the implementation of the new global Sustainable Development Goals.

On 25th October Great Silk Way International Youth Union organized a simulation game in Baku. The aim of simulation game was to strengthen the abilities of participants on trainings with discrimination topic. About 30 participants played the simulation game which was developed by international trainers. During the simulation game young people tried to solve problems of a group of migrants who have faced with many ethnic, cultural, religious challenges in their new ďŹ ction country. Participants came to a conclusion about the fate of migrants and shared their thoughts in the end and emphasized the connection between simulation game and real processes. 08

On 1-5th of November, representatives of Great Silk Way IYU attend the evaluation meeting of Trainers against discrimination project. In the last part of this long term project trainers presented the results of local activities and discussed the common challenges faced by each organization. Trainers developed the ďŹ nal form of simulation game and shared this through dierent networks.

Board Meeting 5-7th of November Great Silk Way International Youth Union organized its 6th Board Meeting. During the 6th Board meeting, the report of Union was presented, the Action plan 2016 was approved and the membership and internal issues was discussed by the board member. th

The 5 November, Board members and secretariat of Union held a meeting with Minister of Youth and Sport. Mr. Azad Rahimov. It was noted that the "Great Silk Way" contributed a lot to creation and development of dialogue among cultures and civilizations, expansion of regional and international economic, political relations in the modern era. 09

The 6th of November, Board members and Secretariat of Great Silk Way International Youth Union held a meeting with President`s assistant on social and political issues, Head of Social and Public department Mr. Ali Hasanov.

The 6th of November, Board members and Secretariat of Great Silk Way International Youth Union held a meeting at the new oďŹƒce of Azerbaijan Youth Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan Republic. On 10th of December Chairman of Great Silk Way International Youth Union, Mr. Fuad Muradov held a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr.Prayono Atiyanto. Mr.Muradov and Mr.Atiyonto discussed bilateral relations and youth policy in countries. Mr.Ambassador expressed his interest to involve Indonesian youth organizations to this unique platform and will give assistance to facilitate the process to this end. 10

Young Businessmen Congress The 5th International Young Businessmen Congress organized by Young MUSIAD started with opening ceremony and lasted 2days. More than 5000 participants gathered together to discuss Fair World Initiative. Secretariat of GSW IYU and member organizations participated in the Congress. 1st session of 5th IYBC started with key speakers who represent dierent spheres such as clime change, defence, economy. Nobel Peace Prize Winner Tawakol Karman also attended the Congress. Theme of this year's congress is Fair World Initiative. 2nd day of 5th IYBF continued with workshop sessions with dierent topics such as socio-cultural discrimination, gender inequality, problems of refugees, growing racism in world and after hot discussions working groups made proposals on solutions of these problems. Prime Minister of Republic of Turkey Mr.Ahmed Davutoglu attended the closing ceremony of 5th International Young Businessmen Congress.
