OVERVIEW PROJECT: Mobile storage unit (Future shed) CLIENT: The Future Centre Trust STYLE: Modern Date: June, 2011 CONSTRUCTION: Timber frame with recycled galvanized corrugated sheet metal cladding DESCRIPTION The future centre trust is a nongovernmental & none profit organization which is focused on sustainable living and the environmental preservation of Barbados. Around June in 2011, the Trust contracted my services as a designer in order to aid them in the execution of their community recycling outreach program. This program involved schools and community groups in the collection and recycling of certain waste products. In order to facilitate this project, they required a mobile storage unit which could be mass produced, disassembled, transported and then reassembled in various locations. They looked at the chattel house and liked the idea of how it could be disassembled and moved and then reassembled again. This became the driving force in how the project was approached. This project was detailed in such a way that anyone with limited construction knowledge could execute the building of the unit successfully. The construction documents also incorporate 3 dimensional detail drawings in order to help with illustration and getting the information across in a comprehensive way. DRAWING CONTENT 1. SPECULAR RESIDENCE REMODEL


OVERVIEW PROJECT: Advanced 2D CAD, Assignment 4 STYLE: Traditional/ Contemporary CONSTRUCTION: Concrete masonry unit enclosure with cast-in-situ R.C. slab & timber framed roof DESCRIPTION: This project was founded in an academically based project through which we were required to generate a few of the common drawings presented in a stack of construction documents. We were also given creative licence to modify the aesthetic appeal and put our own twist on the project if you will. Using this modest two level dwelling as an exercise, I decided to do a virtual renovation and create a few more documents to illustrate my knowledge of construction and the art of detailing in a more traditional yet contemporary Caribbean style home. OVERVIEW PROJECT: Intergenerational family dwelling STYLE: Modern Caribbean CONSTRUCTION: Concrete masonry unit short walls, steel joist floor structure & Structural Insulated Panel enclosure. DESCRIPTION This project show cases my ability to detail none traditional construction materials & systems, as well as detail special construction conditions. In this case, a ramp with the required railing system was selected as the special condition and a building section, plus a wall section which serves to illustrate overall knowledge of how a project in this class is put together.
