REGULATIONS FOR AND CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. All animals entered must be put up for auction, and sold in the order in which they appear in the Catalogue. Animals to be catalogued in order of age, the oldest animals to be placed first. Animals not presented in the sale ring in Catalogue order will not be admitted to the sale ring until the end of the section of the sale for which they are entered. 2. The pedigree, history and description of each animal shall be guaranteed and warranted to be correct in all particulars by the person whose name appears as Vendor, but every animal shall be sold subject to faults. No liability whatever is undertaken by the Auctioneers for the statements appearing in the Catalogue. The Vendors who supply such statements are alone responsible for any error or mis-statement. 3. Vendors must provide competent persons to take charge of their stock up till the close of the sale, whether sold or unsold. 4. The animals will be sold in guineas. Commission of five pence for each guinea whill be charged on all sales, either public or private. 5. Should any animal pass out to the sale ring unsold and subsequently sold privately the Purchaser shall pay the commission on such private sales. 6. Animals will be offered subject to a reserve price. 7. No money shall be paid to the Vendor of any lot sold, unless the lot be cleared by Purchaser, and the Auctioneers will not be answerable for any deficiency that may arise on the re-sale of any unclaimed property, but will give the Vendor all reasonable assistance to have the contract enforced. 8. The Purchasers to give in their names and addresses in writing and pay the full purchase money for each lot at the fall of the hammer (if required), in default of which the lot, or lots, so purchased may be put up again immediately and re-sold. 9. No lot, or lots shall be removed from the premises till paid for, but each and every lot shall immediately at the fall of the hammer, be considered as delivered, and be, and remain in every respect at the absolute risk of the respective Purchaser or Purchasers thereof and shall be removed from the place of sale at the Purchaser’s expense. 10. FAUGHANVALE HERD Welcome to the first production sale of the Faughanvale pedigree British Blue herd. Our herd was established over 10 years ago. Our herd has gone from strength to strength using top genetics. The Faughanvale herd has been shown successfully for example,Faughanvale Cinderella won Junior Champion RUAS Balmoral 2008, All Ireland Breeding Heifer Champion 2008 at National Ploughing and we offer 7 daughters and 2 sons from Cinderella in the sale. Faughanvale Champion sold for ÂŁ7,300gns BBCS Sale Dungannon October 2008 and still holds the record price for breed in Northern Ireland. In 2009 we had Male Champion and Overall Champion at RUAS Balmoral. We also won the Osmonds Young Bull Derby at Castlewellan 2009. In 2010 we won Junior champion at RUAS Balmoral with Faughanvale Elizabeth who is included in this sale as Lot 13. Elizabeth also has won the Ulster Bank Heifer Derby at Antrim Show. This is an opportunity for established and new breeders alike to purchase a selection of bulls, maiden heifers and recipients with calves at foot. AUCTIONEERS FOREWORD The FAUGHANVALE Sale on Saturday 12th March 2011 catalogues the ENTIRE CROP of Calves born in 2009 & 2010 and so includes a great group of modern pedigreed bulls , heifers and calves from the very successful breeding herd. FAUGHANVALE cattle have made their presence felt at the shows winning many top show prizes and this sale contains their outstanding JUNIOR CHAMPION at RUAS Balmoral 2010 , FAUGHANVALE ELIZABETH ET (LOT 13). Also included is another future star of the showring -LOT 20 FAUGHANVALE ELLEN ET who won 1st & Reserve Female Champion at the Northern Ireland BBCS Calf Show in Moira 2010 and is a major prospect for the 2011 top shows. AUCTIONEERS CONDITIONS OF SALE The bidding is to be regulated by the Auctioneers, in terms of “Guinea” bids (£ 1.05) charged to the buyers.
