A R T I S T S TAT E M E N T “Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Each of us has a bank and its name is time. Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as lost, whatever you failed to invest to a good purpose. If you fail to use the days deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against tomorrow so invest in today.� I like to look at every day as a new adventure, as something great to experience, something new to learn and create. Each day I strive to invest my 86,400 seconds into something of value to me. That is why I choose to design art.

VENTURA AIRLINES Graphic design seniors teamed up with marketing seniors and interior design juniors for our school’s annual branding show. This year, we branded a luxury airline with the theme “Heavenly Holiday”. My group decided to brand an adventure airline partnered with Patagonia that travels ab o u t to the worlds most exquisite locations. Ventura is a luxury c ar re r r s t h e ve n t u r a ap p h e lp an d faq s adventure airline company where small groups of 20-30 c o n t ac t u s c ah n g e lan g u ag e / c o u n t r y people can reserve their place on a luxury adventure tour. p r ivac y an d s e c u r it y terms of use The tour is all-inclusive, giving the patrons a relaxing, stresss it e m ap m e d ia free adventure. A R L I N G T O N O LY M P I C S I was asked to brand the Olympics as if they were being hosted in my hometown of Arlington, Washington for the summer of 2020. We were instructed to use inspiration from memorable parts of our town to incorporate into our logo. For Arlington 2020, the running man logo is a tracing of the twin rivers that meet in downtown Arlington and continue running through the community. The color choices reflect the blue skies, yellow flowers and green landscape prevalent in Washington state. BRANDING


WASHOUGAL BOTTLING CO. Explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark discovered the Washougal River, a 33-mile tributary of the Columbia River, in the state of Washington. The objective was to design and package a flavored soda based off of a river. Washougal Bottling Co. is a beverage bottling company based out of western Washington. The typography an color palette is reminiscent of the 1800’s

ECO CLEEN Eco Cleen is an all natural, eco-friendly laundry detergent. I was asked to create a package as well as other aspects to show the logo and brand presence. The leaves in the logo give off the feeling of the all natural idea that Eco Cleen embodies. A magazine ad promotes Eco Cleen’s new scent, Mountain Mist, which is featured on the box packaging.

White space is very important. Nothing should ever be touching the logo to distract the viewer from the design. No matter the size of the logo, make a rectangle from the top of the ‘E’ in BEACH, to the bottom of the middle arm of the letter ‘E’ (as shown above). Then, space that around the logo as a whole. The space between the two large orange rectangles should be all white space.

COLOR PALLETTE

Electric Beach is a tanning salon in downtown Arlington, Washington. The objective was to rebrand an already existing company. Through this project, a brand guide was created, which really taught me what goes into the making of a brand. Design choices are made from logo design to color palette to how the logo can be used and what fonts can go where. After the rebranding was completed. A website and business cards were mocked up to tie in every aspect of the company guidelines

HARDING CAB Harding University’s Campus Activities Board is known for providing the students with a plethora of activities throughout the school year ranging from concerts and movie showings to special events. My job was to rebrand CAB so the three main functions of CAB represented would be widely known throughout the campus. The three colors chose represent the three functions and the connecting blocks in the logo represents CAB connecting the students to various events at Harding.
