Clifford 0. Olson Physical Education Auditorium This new $2.2 million facility has a Uni-Turf floor and seats 3,500 for athletic contests. Other features include an Astroturf fieldhouse, handball courts, squash court, sauna bath, 7 class rooms, faculty offices, weight training room, gymnastics gymnasium and wrestling room. Com plementing this huge, modern facility are the swimming pool building, Memorial Gymnasium, outdoor playing fields, tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, baseball diamond, cinder track and football field. PLU belongs to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The School of Physical Education offers a complete major in physical education for both men and women.
