Points for each round ore awarded immediately after the

If the referee warns one of the com•

If at the end of a bout both boxers have an

equal number of points, the judges

decision 1s given to

the boxer who has done most of the leading, or who hos shown the better style. A DCCIS!ON MUST BE GIVEN de claring a winner.

Quoting from the Official Handbook of

A.A.U. Boxing Rules:

"Even when a decision rs perfectly

right according lo the rules, it sometimes does not satisfy the public. The publ;c iuc!gcs nearly always in accordance with the last round, and forgets the possibly opposite results of the previous rounds.

However, the judges ore not there

for the public, and hove nothing lo do with the opinion of the same; their sole du;·y is to come to a just decision in accordance with the rules.··
