Coverts Heat and Sweat Management System The most common problems reported by Covert armour wearers through the years has been the discomfort felt due to excessive heat, leading to perspiration. SAT employs a wide range of internal fabrics from Coolmax® to Phase Change® material to alleviate and to reduce the effects of overheating. Our most advanced system “Siophase®” actively works to regulate body temperature by removing heat in excess of 37°C from the body. This excess heat is stored inside the fabric and then released when the core body temperature falls below 37°C. SAT produces a wide range of covert style carriers from extreme covert to modular systems for the Police, Military, Security and Emergency Services markets.

Quality
Control
In addition to ISO quality control requirements, SAT spares no expense in ensuring total quality control of its products. This control process begins with our own analysis of fibres and finished fabrics in our technical laboratories, where these materials are checked in every aspect against a master quality specification sheet. Prior to materials being used in manufacturing, we perform V-50 ballistic tests on each batch of material to ensure consistency. Aside from customer requirements we maintain strict quality control procedures on all armours being produced, with 1 in every 200 being tested for compliance against ballistic, knife and spike threats as certified.
Guarantee All SAT Soft Armour Systems are guaranteed for 10 years. Carrier systems are guaranteed depending on the material requirements from the customer. All guarantees are subject to adherence to wear and care instructions as detailed on each system.
ISO certificate
Our Quality management System certificate is ISO 9001 since 2000. This certificate has been issued by the BQA, so according to this quality manual concerning the certification of quality systems, and after concluding the contract of certification N째 AC/AJ/CER/02-05-2005/111, under which the company accepts a regular control of its quality management system.

Production process Utilising highly trained staff and the most modern machine technology, the production of armours is allocated to our various factories, dependant on the systems and quantities required. Our SIOEN owned offshore manufacturing plants can offer a minimum capacity of 1500 units per week. The manufacturing plants in Ireland and Belgium are also used for smaller productions of carrying systems, ensuring quick and efficient turnaround of orders.

The armour labelling also contains information on Date of Manufacture, Wear and Care instructions and indications of Armour Body Side for correct insertion into the various carriers. Armours and carriers are paired together, then packed in a plastic covering and boxed for despatch to the customer. Each box is then labelled with the customer address details and also with the box contents details.
