Island hop in the Caribbean with Journese ® .

WHEN it comes to the perfect vacation destination, the Caribbean checks all boxes with its azure waters, powder-fine sand beaches, incredible restaurants, and rich local culture. With more than 700 islands, you could spend a lifetime exploring the region. We’ve narrowed down our top three island escapes for sun-soaked adventures both on land and at sea.

SANDALS HALCYON BEACH ST. LUCIA CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA

Known For: Shimmering beaches, outstanding restaurants, and the Pitons, the island’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed twin volcanic spires.

Why Go: Often called the most quintessentially Caribbean of all Sandals Resorts, Halcyon Beach is an oasis of powdery sand surrounded by tropical gardens and cobalt sea. The all-new beachfront suites with butler service are the epitome of luxury. The resort also owns bragging rights of having the Caribbean’s longest pool. Ocean adventures are endless, from snorkeling and windsurfing to wake boarding and kayaking, while golf fans have their choice of two challenging courses.

Don’t Miss: Set sail on an adventure cruise to the lovely city of Soufrière. The catamaran journey takes in stunning views of the Pitons and includes an authentic Creole lunch. Along the way you’ll stop to visit top attractions like Toraille Waterfall and Sulphur Springs, where you can take a mineral-rich mud bath.

SANDALS DUNN’S RIVER OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA

Known For: Jamaica conjures images of reggae tunes, jerk chicken, rum drinks, and James Bond novels. The island’s gorgeous coastline is complemented by lush jungle interiors with dramatic waterfalls and lazy rivers.

Why Go: This recently reimagined resort sits on a pristine patch of sand and boasts the brand’s first-ever Coyaba Sky Rondoval villas, which feature oversized swim-up pools and unique rooftop terraces. Guests can choose from 12 specialty restaurants. The Jerk Shack is devoted to the island’s culinary specialty while Dunn’s Rum Club showcases the island’s signature spirit via delightful cocktails mixed with locally sourced ingredients.

Don’t Miss: The resort’s name is a nod to Jamaica’s nearby natural wonder, Dunn’s River Falls. The 180-foot high, 600-foot-long icon is one of the only travertine waterfalls in the world. It’s a brisk, 90-minute hike to the summit, but there are plenty of natural swimming pools for cooling off along the way. The prime photo op is at the base, where the falls empty into the sea at Little Dunn’s River Beach.

SANDALS ROYAL BAHAMIAN SPA RESORT & OFFSHORE ISLAND

NASSAU, BAHAMAS

Known For: Secluded white sand beaches and crystal-clear, turquoise waters.

Why Go: Swim-up suites with ocean views and butler service feel like a resort within a resort. Choose to lounge in privacy or by one of the resort’s seven pools. Ocean lovers can explore the cerulean waters on kayaks, paddleboards, or Hobie Cats and PADI-certified scuba divers will be dazzled by the vibrant coral reefs and colorful marine life. With 10 restaurants ranging from fine French cuisine and super fresh sushi and two food trucks (including one specializing in Bahamian flavors), you’ll never repeat a meal.

Don’t Miss: Escape to the resort’s private offshore island, Barefoot Cay, where you can lounge in cabanas or palm-shaded hammocks, enjoy an oceanfront massage, or experience some of the Bahamas’ best snorkeling.
