taka can assist you in analyzing and studying a variety of things about your building. We will use the experience of the team and their time spent working in the local market along with the latest tools and technology to provide concrete answers and plans to meet your unique project needs.
ENERGY MODELING
After ensuring energy performance, and securing financing the taka solutions team will design and implement all energy saving measures in the building. During this time building maintenance personnel will be educated and trained on the new operation techniques and equipment that is installed in the building.
ENERGY AUDITING
Once the upgrades have been installed they must be monitored, verified and maintained. Using sensors and the building management system the equipment, devices and systems will be monitored and recorded to ensure it is operating in the specified range to guarantee energy and cost savings that meet the project targets. We can act as the client’s eyes and ears by constantly monitoring energy, water and facility operations. Monitoring buildings in real time helps to ensure that project goals are being met, systems are operating correctly and breakdowns are being avoided.

WHAT IS EPC? Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is an innovative financing technique that uses cost savings from reduced energy consumption to repay the cost of installing energy conservation measures. Normally offered by Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), this innovative financing technique allows building users to achieve energy savings without up front capital expenses. The costs of the energy improvements are borne by the performance contractor and paid back out of the energy savings. Other advantages include the ability to use a single contractor to do necessary energy audits and retrofit and to guarantee the energy savings from a selected series of conservation measures. *HUD Definition

ENERGY MONITORING
A baseline analysis of the rooms with no fins was completed to accomplish two things, firstly to ensure the baseline design met the requirements, and secondly to have a reference while analyzing the effects the vertical fins had on the daylighting to the space. The tests were run with the glazing input provided by the architects stated in the report along with the simulation settings of worst-case mid-winter lighting with 90% clean windows. Once the final fin arrangement was completed the updated information was used to run the solar radiation study to determine the benefits gained in terms of load and energy reduction on the building and mechanical systems due to the increased protection provided by the fins. The results show that solar radiation has been reduced
