STYLYING PROJECT
HARD DRIVE
This project involved choosing a brand and designing a hard drive casing based around the brand values, culture and its branding style. I chose Telenor, a telecommunication company which operated in Asian and Scandinavian countries. The project thereafter had to be modelled in CAD (Solidworks), rendered and presented front of a group of people.
5
HEADPHONE PROJECT
The headphone project involved modelling a unique headphone design with all its details and working mechanism, thereafter using rendering software (Keyshot) to generate virtual representation in the formal of images and video. These outputs were used in designing the banners to promote the headphone.

DYSON
INITIAL CONCEPTS
Hypertension is a common issue that needed to be addressed, millions are send by NHS in countering it, if untreated, hypertension can cause death or serious health consequences, such as heart attack, stroke, dementia, kidney failure etc. By reducing the hypertension of the nation as a whole. £850 million of NHS spending could be avoided. User persona was identified as taxi drivers where the daily lifestyle was mapped from which lack or exercise and sleep due to shift patterns were identified to be an issue which contributes to poor health leading to hypertension.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
BRIEF - You are to identify a key user group (based within the Leicestershire region) which is of a viable scale and which would directly benefit from the adoption of a ‘good living’ strategy.
OPPORTUNITIES
PROJECT
Concept developed to tackle lack of sleep which was identified as a one of the problem which causes hypertension, the concept would allow the user to naturally wake up and go sleep with the aid of light and sound.

DYSON
FORM DEVELOPMENT
PROJECT
The electronics configuration made a sunrise and sunset light mode to wake and help the user fall asleep according to the alarm that is pre-set by the user.
DESIGN PROTOTYPES
The concept has been developed through various medium, such as blue foam modelling, CNC, vacuum forming, 3D printing etc. These tools were used to finalist a final design concept that can be manufactured with the electronics housing.
10
DYSON PROJECT
The product is designed with an app which would be used to set time, an monitor sleeping pattern, overtime the app would learn about the user , allowing the users to wake up / go sleep naturally according to the body clock, with a loud noise from an alarm clock, allowing for a perfect start to a day.
LACK OF SLEEP
FEA ANALYSIS
POTENTIAL MARKET
The product has the potential to be applicable to profession, and not just taxi drivers.
Using solidworks analysis package, the plastic components underwent a drop test, as well as injection mould analysis to inform decision making in the design process.
11
DYSON PROJECT
The product would house a changeable led blub which can be controlled using Bluetooth through an app, the product has been appropriately designed to prevent over heating of the electronics.

PLASTICS PROJECT
BRIEF-As an increasing number of people are only travelling with hand luggage, there is a need for more products to be compact or multifunctional.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
INITIAL CONCEPTS
In response to the brief, user persona and user experience was had been used to identify issues surround elderly passengers on a plane. DVT, Deep vein thrombosis was identified as in factor which cause a great deal of distress to elderly passengers. DVT can cause leg pain or swelling, due to reduction to blood flow, this is true on a long haul flight when there is minimal movement.
PROJECT SCENARIO
We challenge you to design an innovative product, primarily in plastic, that will provide a more comfortable and less stressful travel experience.
14
PLASTICS PROJECT
The market of this product is beyond elderly passengers, any passenger can use it who suffer from DVT. Similarly, aeroplane companies would rent out the product or offer as a complementary product/ service which would highlight the company as a customer first approach.
USER TESTING
USER NARRATIVE
DESIGN DETAILS
The curved ergonomics of the product gives the user comfort. The plastics components of the product would be manufactured using PET due to its high tensile strength and durability.

As a BSc student it is require that we undertake a group project where the focus is around the mechatronics of the product. .
DESIGN PROTOTYPE
CONCEPT DESIGN
Stress at work is a significant contributor to wellbeing at work and health around the world. Stress is a second most cause of long terms from the workplace, hence, the product would aim to target this area and tackle this problem from a realistic point of view by promoting ways to stay healthy and stress free, for example, taking regular breaks, staying hydrated, walking around the office.

FLOGO BSc GROUP PROJECT The project required each member of the group to effectively communicate and relay information to efficiently complete the project successfully using project management skills.
The project required a report be written where each decision making had to be justified, such as the use of an Infrared scanner rather then a ultrasonic scanner which allowed the frog to avoid any obstacles. Infrared can work through many plastics whereas ultrasonic worked through very few expensive plastics with low accuracy compared to infrared but the scanner itself was cheap, hence, the manufacturing costs were crucial in the decision making.
