Bloomington Handmade Market 2014 Program

Page 1

Welcome to the 9th Bloomington Handmade Market! BHM 2014 is proud to showcase our largest group of makers to date! Today you’ll find over 50 vendors, making everything from handdrawn illustrations to silkscreened posters to handmade soap. BHM works hard to bring you art, crafts, and functional objects from the cute and fun to the utterly bizarre. We pick the most unique, unusual and interesting work from both local artists and other talented folks from all over the Midwest and put it all together in one place. Buying local and buying handmade means keeping money in our communities, connecting directly with the artists that make the objects you’re purchasing, and having something in your home, on your body, or as a gift that is completely unique and unlike anything else. The Bloomington Handmade Market would like to thank our generous sponsors: BEAD, Rainbow Bakery, In Case of Emergency Press, BBC, Avers, Press Puzzles, The Bishop, Infinite Borders Photography, Shine Insurance, The Ryder, and Gather. And a special thanks to all of our volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you! We hope you enjoy the event! Talia Halliday, Jaime Minor, and Marc Tschida BHM Organizers
