For a very long time, this magazine has been a dream and seeing the first issue printed out fills my heart with an indescribable joy. Yes, dreams do come true for those who trust and patiently wait on the Lord. The magazine simply aspires to inspire you to hold on to your faith in Jesus, to hope against all hopes, to love your life, and to fulfill your God-given assignment on earth. You will find different resources such as articles, interviews, testimonies, personal experiences on spirituality and religion, relationships and marriage, family and parenting, business and career, health and food, and finally fashion. Are You Setting Resolutions Or Goals For 2017? 2016 an epic year! It was full of lessons for me and I hope you enjoyed every little thing about your year. I’m so grateful to the Lord, we all crossed over to the New Year 2017 with hopes and expectations. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5: 17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!’’ and I wish you Happy new year.

The new year has come but not long ago, people were making their annual review to know what needs to be corrected or improved in their lives. Most of them decided to make changes by setting what we call “New Year Resolutions” or “New Year Goals”. Even though the initiative is good, many do not go about it in an effective way. What is the most efficient method to start your year?

Resolution Vs. Goal A Resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something in one hand. On the other side, a Goal is an observable and measurable result having one or more objectives to be achieved within a fixed timeframe. To make the very most of our lives, we must set “New Year SMART Goals”. This will help you to see the whole picture of what you want to achieve in the future and will motivate you to turn it into reality. Setting smart goals will also makes you define your expectations, organize your time and resources, and gives your life direction. Besides that, by setting SMART goals, your self-confidence will be boosted, you will know where you should concentrate your efforts, you will identify the distractions, and you will measure your progress. In this year, the Lord is about to do things mind has never imagined, ears have never heard, and eyes have never seen. This is only possible if we partner with him by setting goals.

SMART Goals Smart goal will help you ensure that the goal you are creating is not just a wish. Specific – means the goal is discrete and explicit. Measurable – asks the question, “How will I know if I accomplished the goal?”

Achievable – means the goal is attainable and reachable. (If a goal is not attainable or reachable, how likely is it to get accomplished? Missed milestones = demotivation.) Relevant – means the goal is important; it is the difference between a nice-to-have and a need-to-have. (If a goal is not important, it will not get done.)

Time-bound – asks the question, “When the goal should be completed?” (Without a time constraint, a goal may never get finished.) 4

Goals can be set in all areas of life. Below is the example of a personal and spiritual goal. Example: The statement “I’ll increase my prayer life.” is actually a wish; it has no plan. A SMART goal of this same sentiment can be stated as follows: “I’ll pray at least for an hour by February 1.” An analysis of this SMART goal reveals: The goal is specifically stated. Praying an hour is measurable, achievable, and relevant to increase prayer life. “By February 1” is time-bound; it provides a time frame for when the goal should be met.

How to Set Personal and Spiritual Goals?

1- Define what you want to achieve in your personal and spiritual life by answering these questions. What level do you want to reach in your spiritual and personal life? Do you want to give more? Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular? What information and skills will you need to have? How do you want to be seen by your family? Is any part of your mindset holding you back? 2- Plan the steps you must take to realize the goal by setting precisely how you will get them done. Put in dates, times so that you can measure your achievement. Then, set priorities when you have several goals to achieve. 3- Commit to it Change to a goal should be kept to a minimum Don’t be afraid of baby steps and make sure to diligently follow the plan.

Nuggets  Decide what you want to achieve in your spiritual life.  Set your long term goals.  Set your short term goals.  Separate what's important from what's irrelevant  Spot and avoid the distractions.  Motivate yourself.  Review and update regularly your goals.  Enjoy the achievement of your goals.

When God wrote their love story, living waters from Australia poured life into the land of Texas. Two world apart, The Lord brought them together as in a dream. This is the story of Rachel, daughter of Marcus and Joni lamb, founder of Daystar Television Network. She is a gorgeous God lover and kingdom worker living in Texas. She was busy working for the kingdom in Texas, little did she know, the Lord was preparing her a charming prince in Australia. At God’s appointed time, Rachel Lamb, met her Australian lover Joshua Brown while he was on a media tour in Dallas with the founder of Planet shakers, Pastor Russell Evans for his new book. From that point on Josh’s heart begun to melt for the super smart, funny, talented, and the most beautiful girl he has ever seen (according to him). Rachel being a Christian and God fearing woman didn’t want to just date him for the fun. Therefore, they both started a beautiful friendship based on true communication and Rachel realized that they share the same values and beliefs. Besides that, Josh has the best family with a great legacy and they were raised the same way. She finally accepted him and they started courtship. Time went by and Josh decided to get the relationship to a deeper level by proposing marriage to Rachel in the presence of her family. He planned the most perfect and romantic proposal. The venue was decorated. The pathway leading to the grand piano was full of rose petals. There was candles and vases of flowers on each side of the pathway. It was amazing! On October 21st of 2016, they exchanged their vows in the presence of their respective families and friends. From the wedding ceremony to the reception, everything was beautiful, full of light, joy, and peace. You could see that Rachel and Josh are authentic givers. The day following their marriage, the newlyweds decides to pour the joy they received from God into the heart of others. They visited and gave flowers from their wedding to patients in nursing homes all over the Dallas metroplex. 9

From The Bride What is your biggest dream together? My parents taught me from an early age that no dream is out of reach when God has placed it in your heart. If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you I always have a big idea I’m working on, I think it’s just in my DNA! There’s no telling what Josh and I will do together, but I know our future is bright because God’s plans for us are even better than we could ever imagine. (Jeremiah 29:11) What is something that you have learned from the other? Josh is one of the wisest people I know! He is quick to forgive and slow to speak. He’s taught me how to handle difficult situations by waiting to react until I have a clear head. Can you share one thing you do to keep Christ at the center of your relationship? Every night before bed we say the Lord’s Prayer over the phone. It’s something we started as a way to end our day seeking Him and has been a great way to teach us how to pray like Jesus did.

Advice To Brides If God is making you wait be prepared to receive more than you asked for. Josh is a fulfillment of my every desire and was more than I could have ever imagined! I pray you all are encouraged your best is yet to come!

Hope is not born on mountain tops, but in valleys when you're looking to the heights and peaks that you have yet to climb. Don't give up, because the view from the top is waiting for you!

By booking flights in the U.S. on Tuesday around 3PM and traveling on weekdays (Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Saturdays) on lunch dinner hour or at night you can save a lot on the price of flights.

For U.S. domestic tickets: Book your flight between 3 months and 30 days before departure. For International fare: Book your flight between 5 ½ months and 1 ½ months before departure. For holiday’s flight (fare): during peak seasons such as June, July and August or the December holidays, purchase tickets two months in advance. 13

4- Set Airfare Alerts If you know the dates you are traveling, then set an airline alert. That way you will get notified right away when the price goes down.

5- Airport Flexibility Sometimes you could save a lot by choosing a bigger airport and connecting flights. If your budget is more important than the duration of the flight, then you might consider a flight with a stop-over. Several online travel website gives you the option to search for indirect routes and to mix and match your airlines to find the cheapest price. You can also save money by booking one way instead of return trip and flying out and back with different airlines or from different airports.

Extra advice: When you are ready to book, make sure all your information such as name, address, city, are correctly entered.

Who Is A Real Man? A family is the center of God’s redemption plan for humanity. He created everything and said let’s create human beings in our own image so they can govern all. Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. "At last!" the man exclaimed. "This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called 'woman,' because she was taken from 'man.'" (Genesis 2: 18-23). If you are in a Christian environment, you have probably heard the proverbs 31 woman sermon as the perfect example of how a woman should be. It’s so common that we usually forget to emphasize on the proverbs 31 man as well. So, who is the real man?

A real man: Treasure his family. He must love his wife and children as Christ loved the church and gave up his life for her (Ephesians 5:23). By doing so, he will bring them closer to God and make them stronger in all areas of their lives. Has a strong relationship with the Lord. He builds up spiritually, physically, and emotionally his family. For example the King David in the bible, Abraham. Leave a relevant legacy and inheritance to the future generation. He invest ideas, concepts, values in the life of his family and people around him. Train up his children in the way of the Lord and the way they should go. It implies that he must be very sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Also, he must know exactly how to bring them up in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Describe your make up ideal in one sentence I want every single person that sit on my chair to leave with a smile while looking the best version of themselves. How did you get started your make up business? I first started by doing my friends makeup using their own makeup kit. Then I purchased my makeup artist kit and I was offering free makeup application because I needed my talent to be seen. What are your 5 must have beauty products? What do you love the most about your job? I love making people look â&#x20AC;&#x153;Beatâ&#x20AC;? and flawless. Also, the smile I get from my clients at the end of every work means the world to me.

What do you love the least about your job? As much as I love what I do, I have to admit that it gets a little frustrating when clients are indecisive on the look they want, and also, when they are not willing to take any suggestions.

What are the biggest mistakes people make when it comes to makeup? I think the biggest mistake most people make when it comes to makeup is buying the wrong shade of foundation.

What advice will you give to people who wants to start their make-up artist business? My mom once told me this and it stayed with me: "sometimes you have to lose money to make money" . In the beginning of your business, you have to focus on your work being seen even if that means doing free makeup application.

Can you give us 5 tips for a beginner makeup routine? A good makeup application starts with a good base. Moisturize your skin no matter your skin type. Always use makeup spray. The secret for a good makeup look is BLENDING. For beginners I'll suggest them to use beauty blender to apply foundation. It is best at giving flawless look. Also, to highlight under the eyes with concealer, never go over two shade lighter.

Please keep your brushes clean and your makeup sanitize. Do you like it when a client brings a photograph as a reference? Absolutely because it gives a good idea on what the client really want.

What to look for the most when selecting makeup artist for big event like wedding anniversary? Well, it's always helpful when makeup artist have pictures of their work. But I think itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s best to do trials before the due date because nowadays you can't just rely on pictures. The filter game is REAL!

What are the makeup mistakes we make? Applying makeup to dry skin. Wearing the wrong shade of foundation and blush. Using an under eye concealer that's up to four shade lighter. Using the wrong shade of brow pencil.

What are the makeup basics that should be reviewed by every makeup artist? Every makeup artist should have a clear understanding of the basics of color wheel, skin tone, under skin tone and choosing the right tools and products for their kit.

What do you wish your clients are aware of before you do their make up? I want my clients to stop wanting their makeup to be done exactly like the picture on instagram. Weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve always wondered how professional makeup artists work their magic. And no matter how hard we try, our own makeup just never seems to come out quite as nice. Can you give us few tricks you use regularly that will make our makeup look just as fabulous as the pros? Prepping your skin before applying makeup and Taking the time to blend your makeup makes a huge difference in makeup application. 20

Wealth on Solid Rock The entire world is going through financial crisis. The stock market is suffering from instability, some countries are in recession even austerity. Despite all the financial turbulences, is it possible to build a strong and growing wealth? Yes, it’s possible to create a solid wealth by applying knowledge received from the Lord (Proverbs 2:1-5). Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good (Psalm 127:1). Following are some tips to have your wealth on solid rock Have knowledge & understanding. It is important to first seek wisdom, understanding, and knowledge that lead to hidden treasure and wealth transfer. Building wealth without Jesus is vain. Finally, instructs yourself. Psalm 127:1

Have a clear vision of what you want to do with the wealth. Know the purpose of God behind your wealth. By doing so, you will understand the trials on the road to get to success. Also, write down your vision on paper. Proverbs 29:18

Have a plan for the money. It is imperative to know what you want to do with the money and why is that important. Whenever the “why” is defined (why is the goal important) you will find strength to pursue your “how” (how to achieve the goal). Also, Stay away from credit cards. Proverbs 17:2

Have a good behavior. Money expose the character (thinking, living, talking, and desire) of who possess it. Ask God to help you to take the right decision daily. Luke 19 Matthew 26:15 Proverbs 1:8-16

Have a plan for security. Get a life insurance, six to twelve months living expenses saved up. Have a retirement plan, real estate investment, and health insurance. Luke 16

Have a fix plan for investment. Sow regularly seeds into the kingdom of God, pay your tithes and offerings. Matthew 6:19

How to Become More Than an Overcomer? The overcomer is the one who prevail over something. It could be an opposition, temptation, or attack of the enemy. As Spiritual being, we will always face the attacks of the enemy of our souls. However, the Lord has given us the power to overcome them all. Here are some keys to become more than an overcomer: Forgiveness Choose to forgive everyone who’s trying to ruin your life. Put off every weight that slow you down and reject the sin that makes you fall short of God’s glory. Luke 23:34

Love God Run with endurance the race God has set before us. Seek and follow his instructions. Don’t be tired to keep your faith in Jesus our perfect example of love.

Sovereignty of God Realize that until you get to heaven, there are some things you will never understand. (Matthew 27:46). Have the assurance that God will never forsake those who trust in him.

Acknowledge your need Every human being has a need. We have been created to depend on God. Even Jesus Christ on earth needed help. So be humble enough to acknowledge that sometimes you will need help. (John 19:28-29)

Help Others Help others who are experiencing the same struggle by your testimonies. Do not let anything prevent you from helping people especially those closest to you.

Know the purpose Be assured that there is a purpose and end for everything (John 19:30). No matter the intensity of what you are going through, know that it is for a specific purpose.

Surrender to God Let God take care of every situations in your life. Turn them to him in prayer and he will give you victory. He is on the throne of your life, he orders the steps of the righteous.

By doing so, you will overcome every tricks and traps of the enemy and live the best of your life.

How To Overcome Fear? Most people are so aware of the feeling of fear that their potentials are not even existent. It often occurs when they are facing a situation bigger than their natural strengths. If fear takes holds of our heart, it will be difficult to have great achievement. Even more, we wonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be able to fulfill our destinies. What is fear? It is to be afraid of (something or someone); to expect or worry about (something bad or unpleasant). There are two types of fear: the positive and destructive fear. The positive fear is always beneficial. We could teach our children not to play with outlet because they can harm themselves. So they will fear going near the outlet for their safety. The fear of God makes us honor him, give him all the reverence, the respect, the love, adoration, praise. Because it is always for our good and guarantee us life, protection, blessings etc... (Deuteronomy 6:24; Proverbs 10:27; Psalm 33:18-19; Psalm 34:7). The negative fear is always destructive. when a situation can steal your joy, peace of heart, when you loose control of yourself etc... (Psalm 55:3-5). How can Fear be an enemy of purpose or destiny? Someone said FEAR is a False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is a not a person, it's a spirit using the mind as a vehicle. The goal of fear is to paralyze and prevent the person from achieving what is very much possible. Everything starts in the mind. Your purpose is something you have never done and most of the time you have no experience in it. You don't know the road to get there. So whenever you are facing obstacles trials, difficulties or simply pursuing your purpose, that spirit will inject thoughts in your mind to limit your imagination, ability to think that with God all things are possible. How to overcome fear? In this case, most of the time, in order to overcome FEAR you have to DO IT ANYWAY- DO IT AFRAID- DO WHATEVER IT TAKES (Ezra 3:3). Don't be afraid to fail, in fact look at failure as another way to do that thing you are doing. The Lord is with you. (Judges 6:1-32 Gideon defeats fear). Remember purpose is not for you but others. If you don't discover and fulfill your purpose you will stop billions of souls on this earth from receiving the answers, solutions to their prayers, problems. Imagine if you were at their place, one of them waiting for someone to bring the solution. Would you want someone to hold on and refuse to release what can bring you and your family deliverance, liberation? So, confront your fear and do what you need to do with the assurance that you will succeed. 23
