Creative Writing

Join us this month to write poems. Poetry has been around for almost four thousand years. Like other forms of literature, poetry is written to share ideas, express emotions, and create imagery. Poets choose words for their meaning and acoustics, arranging them to create a tempo known as the meter. We will perform written exercises to write concrete, ekphrastic, haiku and epigram poetry. Join us on Thursdays, April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, 2023, from 12-2 pm. We will develop and write poetry to express our ideas, describe the world’s beauty, and as a form of entertainment. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes April 5, 2023 at 8:00am.

Registration is for a 4-week class series.

Attendance is required for the first class. If you miss the first class, you will be removed from the class but are welcome to register for the next class series.
