Cause
Named in honor of one of Tall Timbers’ most treasured supporters, the Kate Ireland Memorial Dinner & Auction is a fundraising event held annually benefiting Tall Timbers Foundation, Inc. for Tall Timbers research and conservation programs. Tall Timbers’ research focus is the ecology and management of fire-dependent ecosystems, and wildlife, including bobwhite quail, in the Southeastern Coastal Plain. Our conservation efforts are dedicated to helping protect the distinctive, rural landscape of the Red Hills Region of South Georgia and North Florida and its traditional land uses. Our education program transfers research and conservation information for resource management.
our Mission
For over 50 years Tall Timbers’ mission has been to foster exemplary land stewardship through research, conservation and education.
“Kate Ireland was a staunch advocate of hunting and luckily for Tall Timbers an even more enthusiastic advocate of quail. Through her steadfast support, she helped to strengthen Tall Timbers and bring together the quail plantation community in the Red Hills, Albany, and beyond.” Dr. Bill Palmer, CEO/President
the Event The 18th Annual Kate Ireland Dinner & Auction will be held Sunday evening, September 20, 2015 at Pebble Hill Plantation - Uno Hill Barn, Thomas County, GA and will be catered by Liam’s Restaurant of Thomasville, GA.
