Looking at asphalt road repairs, broken ice sheets on a river, a mended seam on a garment or a mangled wire on a trash heap I marvel at unintended compositions. In my mind those fugitive lines are re-imagined, in ltrate and chart new boundaries. Paint stretches like skin over the ink armature and becomes the connective tissue that suggests form. However, the intention of line, whether an audacious gesture or a delicate insertion, punctures the opaque skin and asserts its presence. Intricacies of line are at the core of my work. I like to disturb surfaces. By disrupting perceptions of harmony through digging back into the layers, exposing previous visual thoughts, a dialog emerges telling the story of the painting. I am absorbing, feeling, thinking and exploring my journey through and with paint. I paint for moments of clarity. I paint for the times I nd the courage to destroy and rebuild. I paint to feel alive.

BIO While living on the coast of Maine, in 2013, I began to focus exclusively on painting. Studied with Steve Aimone in Thomaston, Maine; took workshops at Woodstock School of Art and marathons and courses at the New York Studio School of painting and sculpture in NYC with Fran O'Neill and John Lees. A solo show of my paintings was recently exhibited at Five Points Gallery, Torrington CT. Several paintings were a part of group shows in Chelsea, Sonoma County and the Hudson Valley over the past few years. I am represented by Galley Lulo in Healdsburg, CA and my painting work is included in private collections in the US and abroad. Born in Tel Aviv and raised there and in London. I worked in television production in advertising (in London) and then for CBS News in Tel Aviv during the peace process of the historic visit of President Saadat to Jerusalem. In 1979 I moved to NYC and worked on the Foreign Desk at CBS News in New York and as a researcher for Universe show with Walter Cronkite. A passion for the art of jewelry led me to create wearable objects in 1984. For over three decades my work was widely exhibited, published and sold nationally and abroad, garnering awards and grants. In 2007 I was a NYFA fellow and in 2011 a juror for the NYFA sculpture/Craft category. I curated 500 Silver Jewelry Designs published by Lark Books/ Sterling Publishing in 2011. I retuned to the Hudson Valley in 2016 where I paint in my studio in Kingston NY.
