A few of my designs, made while working at Michal Negrin.

2014 winter collection

The collection is a continuance of my thesis project. I designed the collection for the elegant working women, who is looking for something different in her day to day outfit. This woman can now arrive to the office with a surprising new twist. I took classic elegant cuts, and smear their figure and print. Imagine a giant paintbrush, that with it you can stretch, smear and distort the figure and the print. Just like Photoshop liquefy tool. In this collection I break down the dogmatic day to day prints, and chose to apply it on classic prints like plaids and stripes.

thesis project My collection deals with the transition from the virtual world to the real world, in a humorous non critical view. What I have done is “copy paste” my collection from Photoshop to reality. That is taking the known and familiar tools of Photoshop (duplication, free transfer, liquefy, blow up, etc) and translate them to the materials which exits in real life. I took classic cuts from the 50s and made Photoshop maneuvers and changed their figure, in search for new patterns and figures, while keeping a desirable reality. I’ve used varied technique in my collection, silk screen printing (some are my hand painting), sublimation printing, transparent foil printing technique, machine knitting and jeans. I’ve created the buttons with collaboration of the department of jewelry design

bridal school project

The project started from a fictional wedding, when I married Marie Antoinettewith with Robin Hood. I chose these two unique characters because they kind of have a common ground. Maria Antoinette famously stole from the poor, while Robin Hood known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. In the dress designed you can see the relationship between the two characters. The dress silhouette reflects the fashion at the time of Maria Antoinette. The rich pearls tissue, silk and lace reflect the great wealth dresses she wore. The dress is crumbling as if its wealth is being stolen out of it, and until we discovered the dress skeleton.
