The main objective of the department is that people from Granada and its surroundings know the province, as nowadays, many citizens don’t know very well our city tourist supply.

We want also to make the fair more dynamic with several activities that will be carried out through the day and a raffle; we think that this is important to attract the public. And to get the appearance of the fair in general better and also the quality of the stands.

The communication will be:  BETWEEN US (OURSELVES): We´ll keep the contact between us, mainly by Whatsapp, as this communication channel is the easiest and the most comfortable. We´ll need to have the telephone devices ready to be in contact, as well for calls, e-mails and short text messages. This is also applied for the day of the event, as in some occasions we´ll be in different departments and we won´t be able to be physically together at all times. We are doing meetings until the event day four times a week (for an hour every single time), while we are organizing the event day.  WITH THE REST: The general manager, Noemí Zambrana, will be the responsible to carry out a weekly meeting to treat (work at) the matters related with the rest of the events that will be celebrated the same day. This meeting will take place in the General Manager office, every Thursday at 10.30.

 NEVASOL: Daniel A. and Jose Luis G. o To bring a climbing wall (rocódromo) to have a dynamic activity, not only the stalls and the talks, to encourage the guests to take part of it and do a sample of active tourism,. o To build a small ice skating rink outdoor, as we consider that Nevasol needs some more activity to involve the participants in the event. Like this, they can have some fun a part of taking information of the active tourism in Granada.  ¡PONTE A PRUEBA!: Marta S., Marta R., Cristina R. and Maria R. o To involve the students more in the event, as we consider

that

they

could

have

arrange

more

competitions, and more different between them to arrive to all the different sectors, as not everyone likes to cook or to take pictures. For example, a talent competition or a game for those who don't want to participate in any competition. o

To bring a Professional Chef (or even to ask any teacher from the school) to teach how to make a dish and do a competition about it, something similar to “Masterchef” TV show.

RUTAS DEL LEGADO ANDALUSÍ: Maria Dolores J., Silvia O. and Jessica E. o

More involucration in their social media, as they hadn't had updated constantly their pages so far. They haven't been aware of social media is nowadays one of the more important tools (if not the most)

6

Event Departments organization to promote an event, and we consider is one of the first things you must have ready. o

One of the weaknesses that this event has is that it's aimed to a very specific segment of the market, as it's something very specific that perhaps is not going to cover most of the typologies of tourism. This event is runned to people who may like the Muslim history and guided routes.

o

We consider that they could have done some cross-selling with complementary products to do it much more interesting and complete to achieve more public.

FERTSABE: Andrea L., Anabel R., Sandra R. and Mar E. o

As it happens in Rutas del Legado Andalusí, this event covers a very specific segment, for tourists looking for beauty care, wellness and relax. They could have arrive a wider public by new product strategies,

like

offering

information

about

Sea&Sun&Sand tourism, as in a part it's related to the wellness tourism. o

A relative of one of the members of this group, who works in a reception, will give a talk the event's day, but nothing according to the tourist typoligy they are working at, so we consider that it could be a better option to bring someone relationated with the sector and so the participants are going to relate the talk with this event group.

STRUMBER NUMBER PLATE: Rowena S. and Ismael D. o

We would add a movie billboard for the premieres that week, and a chronology of the films until then, we think that is important to this event.

o

Regarding the “gastronomy” we would give to taste the aperitifs that the spectators will buy in cinema, for example: popcorn, candies and refreshments. Is a thing that will attract more attendance because is more dynamic.

Cross-Selling is a technique used to offer different or complementary service to the one we normally offer. These services are usually interesting for the participants of the event. From the profits that the person or company will take from what they’ll sell in the event, our department will take a percentage.

For our event, we have thought to offer extra services that the participants will enjoy the event day at CPIFP Hurtado de Mendoza, and thanks to this sell, we can earn a small percentage. The extra services that we can offer are: Accommodation for the night of the event’s day in Ibis hotel in Armilla, the closest hotel to the event’s place. Lunch at the school, as it has lounges aimed to this service; the lunch will be a sampling menu with several dishes in the school restaurant, so that the participants of the event don’t need to go away to have lunch after the event, which will finish around 14.00 h. Accommodation for the night of the event’s day in Urban Dreams Nevada in Armilla, which is also very close to the event’s place. Lunch at Nuevo Kaoba Bar, which is close to the event’s place; the menu will be composed of three courses (starter + main + dessert). This is a low cost option for the guests of the event. Accommodation for the night of the event’s day in Senator SPA Hotel; in addition, the guests will enjoy a free hour in the SPA Hotel.

Before the event’s day, we will concert a price that we will pay to the companies that will do cross-selling with us. After the deal and the agreement, we will set a price a bit higher than that one and also a bit lower than the original one for our guests, and so, the Event Commercialization Department will receive a small percentage of earnings from selling those services. Thanks to this, we will promote those companies and the profits of these will increase.

Event Departments organization To choose the companies that we are going to work with, we have based in two main criteria: The Closeness and The Cost. First of all, the reason why we've chosen this accommodation establishment for our event's guests that are going to spend the night in Granada is because its prices are the most suitable according to the closeness and the quality of this hotel. Between the three accommodation options we had, Hotel Ibis is the cheapest one (€44 for a single room at the event's day), and it is also the closest one (Urban Dreams it is at a few meters of Ibis, so the difference was about the price). The hotel is located 10 minutes (750 meters) walking from the CPIFP Hurtado de Mendoza (where the event take place). We have settle a cheaper price with the hotel, like this, we can offer the stay for a lower rate for our guests with the event ticket. The price we have deal with the hotel is €38, and we'll set the price per night on €42.50, which will be a 3,4% cheaper than the regular rate, and from that price, we'll earn €4.50, which represents the 10,60%. It is to mention that the offer is just for the accommodation service.

11

Event Departments organization The next company we have chosen is a restaurant to offer a lunch service to our guests in case they want to have lunch outside after the event, as it finishes at 14.00, which would be in the restaurant of the School (CPIFP Hurtado de Mendoza). It is a quality option which couldn't be closer, and the price to the public is €15 for several courses (they are about 6 dishes, so it's a sampling menu). We have deal the price with the school for €10; this is what we will pay to the restaurant manager, and we are going to set the price for our guests on €13.50. This means that the menu would be a 10% cheaper for our guests when buying the event ticket plus the lunch menu. We would earn €3.50, which means we would get a 11,1%.

We are going to set three different pack rates to achieve the satisfaction of all of our guests. These are: RATE #1: Ticket + Accommodation: €39.50 (€1.50 + €38) RATE #2: Ticket + Lunch service: €15 (€1.50 + €13.50) RATE #3: Ticket + Accommodation + Lunch Service: €53 (€1.50 + €38 + €13.50) In the infography you can appreciate the three different pack rate:

We have chosen this logo because represent dynamism, freshness and simplicity. Regarding the colors; the brown color represents the earth (rural tourism), and the blue and yellow represent sun and beach. In relation to slogan we want to transmit a clear message to our followers and assistance, we want to show that we can inform about new interesting things that they don’t know.

We will pay to the companies which we will do cross-selling with (Ibis hotel and the restaurant of Hurtado de Mendoza School) after the event is celebrated. We are going to carry out satisfaction questionnaire. We have to analyze the results to check the level of achievement We will fill out this point after the event.

18-19-20 of October “JORNADAS ONCOSALUDABLES” Talks and tastings of on-healthy foods. The talks will be given by members of the Spanish Association against Cancer of Granada and cooks of Granada. We have chosen this type of event because October 19th is the World Breast Cancer Day, and we believe it is a very important issue to raise awareness.

11 of November “FERIA DEL ENOTURISMO” We have chosen this event to publicize this type of tourism, which we believe is not very well known. And it is an interesting subject knowing that in this school there are training cycles of services in which the wine plays a great role, also in this school there are tasting rooms that will be used to make the tastings.

17 of May “CHARLAS Y PONENCIAS DE APLICACIÓN DE INTERNET Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGIAS AL TURISMO” We believe that the new technologies are fundamental for the access to information of any subject, and also for the tourist sector. We have chosen this date because May 17 is the World Internet Day. The

students

of

Tourist

Accommodation

Management will receive a talk about the "channel manager" that will be taught by Claudia Quesada.

25-26 of February “FERIA ANDALUZA DE GASTRONOMIA Y ARTESANIA” On the day of Andalusia, which is the 28th of February, we decided to hold a fair on Andalusia gastronomy and handicrafts. There will also be gastronomic competitions of typical Andalusia recipes (“salmorejo” and “tortilla de patatas”) and workshops of realization of baskets with “esparto”.

25 of November “THANKSGIVING DAY (ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS)” For this day, it is going to be a event to commemorate the day of thanksgiving. The bilingual courses will hold some thematic talks, and there will be typical tasting recipes. We think that this “cultural” event is very interesting for the bilingual students and the rest of the school.

21-22-23 of December “CHARLAS SOBRE EL TURISMO EN NAVIDADES” In these days the bilingual students will give talks about the kinds of tourism that are given at Christmas. There will also be a contest for students of Nativity scenes, Students will have to craft some Christmas scene. The jury will be the teachers.
