Cities such as Granada, Tenerife or Teruel already have activities and routes attract a broad public "very prepared”. In the North of Spain; Galicia, Cantabria, Burgos, Bilbao, Asturias, Castilla Leon… there is a route called “Science museums: northern route” - The province of Teruel hides important paleontological sets that stand out within the national landscape and which represent a source of crucial information for the advancement of science, and to bring closer us to the way of life the dinosaurs. - 24 municipalities of la Noguera and Pallars Jussà and credited as one of the six places in the world where better are the stars. This quality seal will position the territory as a reference for the world of knowledge and science, in this case the astronomy, and will be a great boost to its tourism. - The Sierra de Atapuerca sites are an important engine of scientist tourism of Burgos. There are many people who have visited him in recent years and that have been able to know this unique and magical place in the world for the understanding of human evolution.

They have designed a mathematical route from Granada, for that go to edit a guide with more than 200 'mathematical constructions", which will have its virtual 3D version and a mobile application. By now they have made this route to order, but aims to open it to the public, why they pose to assemble

In Granada there has been a meeting ITUR "scientific tourism: chance for the territoriesÂť This Conference seeks to address a typology of tourism with great potential for growth and potential to become adjunct to the socio-economic development of many Territories, and which can contribute to the remove of the seasonality of numerous tourist destinations.

The evolution of this type of tourism and its current situation in Spain This type of tourism is growing in Spain, many cities or autonomous communities are boosting their local area through tourism. Increasingly more tourists want to expand their knowledge at the time of travel, not only already travel to rest. Increasingly there are more routes for travel of form scientific, there are archaeological routes through caves, visits to the parks of Sciences, exploration of the stars in an Observatory, these routes attract more and more people every year. This tourism is a key in an economic sector.

This graph is the evolution of the scientist’s parks in Spain, as we can see in this graph the trend is upward since 14 years ago, but it seems that in recent years has declined the number of parks.

The evolution of this type of tourism and its current situation in the world

The movement of scientific parks shows a large increase in the number of parks around the world, just as in Spain. In 13 years has nearly tripled the number of parks around the world. This graph is a little late, today there are over 400 identified PCT worldwide, and parks we found practically in any country. Many new projects still appear constantly, testing the validity of this concept, and its entry into force.

Advantages and disadvantages of this type of tourism in the places where it is developed Advantages: - Protection in the located areas, protection of the environment, protection and care of species in danger of extinction. -This type of tourism is low-impact environmental, very careful with nature and the local population. -There can be an improvement in a local life. -More employment opportunities for local people.

Disadvantages: - It is possible the degradation of many areas of great value for the future, generating losses of biological and cultural diversity, damage natural flora and fauna - Contamination of areas by tourists waste. -Intrusion from tourist in the local activities and lifestyles.

Human contact with nature can always be detrimental to nature, but it is true that more awareness there is respect to care for the environment, and respect the habitat. Increasingly more tourists want to know more about the natural sciences without harm.

How can we influence the demand of this type of tourism To generate interest in types of different scientist tourists we should create a quality "Scientific tourism" brand. So it will be necessary to design and implement a system of accreditation which ensures that the activities offered under this brand comply with established standards. Create a credential for guides of scientific tourism, ensuring competition in the area of knowledge which is interpreted. Generate a common web portal that make accessible scientific tourism to the young public, and at the same time become a reservation center. Find support and complicity of the public administrations; regional and provincial which facilitate the development of scientific tourism businesses and support its promotion. We can influence by putting a good price to a good product, and focus it to the public to look for this type of tourism, in this way we can appeal to groups of young people and students.
