The legend of Warsaw Mermaid

Local fisherman fell in love with the Mermaid because every night she sang beautiful songs.
Later, a rich merchant trapped the Mermaid and put her in a wooden hut.
Mermaid than offered her help whenever it would be needed. Ever since, the Mermaid, armed with sword and shield, has been ready to protect the village and its residents. The village has grown bigger and bigger and although difficult times in its history it became a beautiful city Warsaw – the capital of Poland.
